Fine NFL career. He was not a very good college player. His pro career is irrelevant to his college days.
As far as someone scoring 41 on Michigan, that was take a number.
Winning enough games in the Big East and beating K-state doesn't turn you into Alabama.

How about when he's been right? I would guess he's right more than he's wrong.

Did I say they weren't? You said he shouldn't criticize college players. I pointed out occasions when it was quite appropriate. I see you have no issue with criticism being levied in those occasions.

Not all fans forgive things. But, there are people who could give two shits what Troy Smith did. They forgot as soon as he started winning games. If The Tattoo Five comes back to a 5-0 team and makes the BCS title game, their misdeeds will be forgotten. So will their coach's. That is fact. Not everyone will forgive and forget. But a large portion will.
