I will give you that against USC. The defense played lights out, but USC wasn't the offensive juggernaut that many thought they were.

I think Purdue has the best offensive scheme in the Big 10 and best coaching offensively. They just lack the talent. No doubt that OSU played bad, but that doesn't mean they can't play bad against Oregon. Again, I think it will be a close game and these teams are pretty even, but I could see the potential of Oregon blowing this game open.

OSU played two offenses that you can compare to Oregon. One was Navy who scored 27 points and the other is Purdue whose QB threw for 280 yards.

The thing that scares me, and I think Tressel has hopefully realized, is that they can't panic against Oregon. In the Purdue game when OSU got down, they completely paniced and forgot to run the ball. OSU needs to have confidence in their defense and stick to running the ball.

If OSU stops the running game of Oregon and FORCES Massoli to throw it could get ugly for Oregon. The onr thing I noticed about Oregon and Massoli is that when forced to go to the air they're in trouble.

USC came out of the Buckeye game beat up and were never right after that game.

Purdue and Navy aren't anything alike.

I know Purdue and Navy are not alike, but both run a version of the option.

I do agree that if OSU can make Oregon one dimensional they can control the game.

I think it's a very intrigueing game and really builds a lot of momentum for either team heading into next year.

One word explains the Purdue game, turnovers. Letting up 26 points isn't getting exposed. Giving Purude countless tries at scoring will get you exposed though. 5 turnovers was the only reason OSU lost. Hell even with those 5 turnovers, if Worthington doesn't grab the face mask OSU would still be battling to win that game.

If OSU keeps the ball safe like that have been recently, they'll be fine.

Good point. Although even if OSU did get the ball back, there was no reason to think OSU was going to score.

No question they need to limit the TO's. If OSU loses the TO battle, I don't think they have a shot.

They can afford to lose the turnover battle if its 1-0 or 2-1, but its very hard to find a winning team that is committing 5 turnovers.

Every year, I become more convince that Ohio State has the best fans in the country. They always travel well. They are in California and looks like they have just as many fans as Oregon, if not more! Just like when they played LSU in New Orleans for the national championship, the Stadium was filled with Scarlet and Gray.

Well, at least Oregon is wearing some of the least sucky of its sucky uniforms, I can't believe there are some folks that want OSU to change out of their classics.

50?

There were several threads on the "old" huddle about black alternative jerseys (yuck), all red uniforms (congrats, you look like the 1977 Cleveland Indians) and other ways to 'mix it up' so that the young folks and recruits will find it 'kewl.'

If nothing else, Penn St., Alabama, Ohio St. and others have the best unis in the sport.

OSU came through big time! Big ten has looked good, with Iowa yet to play. Northwestern and Minnesota blew their games that they should have one or the big 10 would have been great this year.

Pryor best game to date as a buckeye, however much work to be done for 2010!
