I will give you that against USC. The defense played lights out, but USC wasn't the offensive juggernaut that many thought they were.
I think Purdue has the best offensive scheme in the Big 10 and best coaching offensively. They just lack the talent. No doubt that OSU played bad, but that doesn't mean they can't play bad against Oregon. Again, I think it will be a close game and these teams are pretty even, but I could see the potential of Oregon blowing this game open.
OSU played two offenses that you can compare to Oregon. One was Navy who scored 27 points and the other is Purdue whose QB threw for 280 yards.
The thing that scares me, and I think Tressel has hopefully realized, is that they can't panic against Oregon. In the Purdue game when OSU got down, they completely paniced and forgot to run the ball. OSU needs to have confidence in their defense and stick to running the ball.
