No, I didn't get owned... Woods, I though Big Red was on a higher level than Creek??? So our Oak Glen is equal to your Buffalo St. Joes. Point is, if you have the talent why are you sliding by playing teams that just get you to the play-offs rather than pushing your talent and winning a championship????

At this point in the game, a win over a team like Brooke would be big for us. Tiddly squat for you, but would be a quality win for us... You have to learn to walk before you run.

As far a Sam goes, I get so tired of typing the SAME thing over and over... If you would read through the messages you might understand what was going on. Sorry NAZE, I know keeping up on all the replies are tough for you... You are correct, Sam had 3 straight 9-1 seasons and we made the play-offs once out of those 3 seasons. We had a good bit of talent back then, but there were OTHER pressing issues still going on at Creek. A lot of our fanbase jumped ship after the consolidation, Mingo hated Wintersville and Wintersville hated Mingo. What was the attendance like when Herrick went 1-9? How about when Sam went 9-1? Sometimes (and I say this term ONLY because at the time it was like a civil war between the two towns) finding a way to get communities to come together is more important than making the play-offs. The way Sam did it was by winning football games. It was VERY clear to us what kind of schedule we played and it was also VERY clear we would have to win every game. Also remember that back then it was the top 4 teams, not the top 8 also. All 3 years would have been play-off appearances if they had taken the top 8. Forgive us for losing by 4 points to the D2 state semi-finalist East Liverpool... I guess we really stunk that year. We also found out that a team we played had to forefit their computer points because of illegal players. Sam knew what he was doing, and yes... Sam was a hands on kind of coach... If you did something wrong you knew it and I don't have a problem with that, when your on the football field, he is your coach and parent... Mommy and Daddy should just stay out of it. I have a lot of respect for that man, he earned it.

Oak Glen is equal to Buffalo St. Joe?
How many D1 athletes has OG produced again?
Lol, most OVAC teams would be lucky to even keep it close with St.Joe!

How can you respect a man that bullied his kids, abused them and played a schedule that if you didn't go 10-0 you won't make the playoffs?

I don't care what you say about going 9-1 etc when there were teams that were 7-3 that could make the playoffs. Sam was affraid to play any team that might beat him and it showed year in year out with his schedule. If it wasn't we would have been playing Big Red since 07.

You didn't like Sam and you don't like Connors, so, who should be coaching at Creek? Maybe you should apply for the job...

There are a lot of good coaches that could be Creeks head coach. Coach D comes to mind. Plus Creek let a coach a good assistant coach go to Big Red when they hired Connors who should have had a least a few years to be the head coach over a person who doesn't even teach at the school district. I guess he is better off on the redder side of things though.

Why coach Blackburn didn't get the job is beyond me!
If Creek is really looking for a good coach I would suggest looking at some of the young coaches on Big Red's staff!
Jojo Sac is a guy who can turn that program around!

Do you have no clue about BIG RED football? DO you realize that since 2003 they have played in ATLEAST the STATE SEMI-FINAL 5 times, making it to 3 Championship games WInning 2 of them? Is that just sliding by or not pushing of championships? But yet you defend sam for losing to E.L. the D2 state semi-finalist when creek "had" talent?!?!?!? So did Sam not push his talent hard enough? You cant talk out of both sides of your mouth !!! ....
P.S. Still waiting for my answers of previous Questions?

I would never buy anything that said Big Red on it unless it was toilet paper. I would drive my kids to Mooney before I sent them there...

Woods, You guys didn't make the play-offs that year either, and yes I am aware of Big Red football... You and Naze have no idea what you are talking about other than to "try" to get on everyone's nerves. Plain and simple. I'm sorry, but points have been made time and time again, you guys just prefer to ignore it and try to find something so tiny to blow up because you are running out of stupid things to say. I was told to watch what kind of names I call people on here because I called Naze an Idiot. Well I am sorry, but you both fit the description to a "T" with honors. I apologize to the mods ahead of time, but look at these posts... The points have been made COUNTLESS times, the explinations have been said COUNTLESS times, and all these two are doing is PICKING a fight and trying to get everyone to say something they should. Thats instigation in my book and its just the same as a name calling. Please remove these wackers... They can't get any brighter than a 2 watt light bulb. I'm done with them.

So, In other business... Go Creek!

For those of you who did not know the middle school has been started, soon the Junior high students will be able to have class without looking down through the cracks at the students in the room below them.
Can't wait for it to be done.
New buildings, new schools, not even mayo can go bad!

one new school not schoools. There is nothing wrong with the junior high now, where did you hear there are holes in the floor? also that shows how smart creek is if they are starting construction at the start of winter, ya a lot of work will get done now. More wasting money.

sos you are a true creeker a cry baby and you support losing. you want us to go bye bye because you can't argue with either one of us with facts? what are you facts that you talk to kids and they like being losers? because I talked to some today and they said that Connors really isn't that good of a coach and it was their hard work not the coaches that changed the program.

what happens next year when they lose 2 or 3 games and they stop working hard and go 5-5 are you still going to support connors? well I guess you will because you enjoy knowing that you can find pride in losing.

sos what did postions did you play with sam? You still really haven't said why it is that you like him so much as coach when he only lead his players to a dry well every year, year in and year out. Oh wait thats right they could beat Brooke. Who knows maybe if he was still there we could have beat that out of state Weirton team when they had Quincy, oh wait never mind he was.

Naze,SOS is not the only one on here that hold Coach Sam in the highest regard. He is a Hall of Fame Coach and a wonderful person to know personally..I've known Sam since his days in Cadiz. He took all those teams to 9-1 and 10-0 seasons and never made the playoffs. Those were different times.Only 4 got in back then.I don't really know what my point is but Coach Sam is not to be downed for motivating his kids.

Love ya NAZE.... We DID beat Weir with Quincy. Won the ESOP trophy to prove it. We held Quincy to his lowest rushing total in ALL of his H.S. career that game. Gee, I guess Sam did know how to win. Oh, by the way, Quincy went down in the 3rd qtr. of that game. Guess we sucked so bad that we kicked his butt.

I remember Coach Sam was my home room teacher one year in junior high. He yelled at me one day for just standing there and not really saying the pledge of allegiance. He asked me if I wanted to live in Russia. I said yes. After he discussed things with me in the hallway, I changed my tune real quick. lol He was absolutely right and I would do the same thing to my kids now if they ever acted like I did. He pointed out how great our country was and how disrespectful I was being. He was a fine coach, and a good man, that new how to get his teams ready to play. He did it with every team he ever coached.
