Its a fact throught its history the people running it waste money and do nothing to improve the school or its students. There is more made up jobs at IC than there needs to be but yet they continue on this path because no one can change what they do. By the time my kids get to ICHS it probally won't be ICHS it'll be a Jefferson County school with ICHS, Buckeye, and Edison.
No one has said that every choice IC has made has been the right one... I agree with you on a lot of your points. As of lately the decisions are getting better... Instead of complaining about the choices they make, get active with the school. Run for a spot on the Board. If you feel you can make a difference, then do it.

just wanted to add something else ... This love fest with the coach, i dont get. IC have a coach for 5 years that averaged nearly 9 wins a season in last 4 seasons and would have made the playoffs (all 4 years) in the new playoff format. He (coach) had to go (real IC fans know why). Now this coach averages less than 5 wins a season, never made playoffs, and this past season (6-4) "turned it around". I asked a board member before why the coach is still the coach and he told me, "we cant get anyone better". 6-4 turn around and better coach BOGGLE my mind. Charlie in ND wins 6 and bout to lose job, but 6-4 is a turn around after 7 seasons?!?!?

I don't have the time to be on the school board, but I am going to look into the boosters.

There was a lot of talent back in those days too... A lot of people abandon ship when Mays took over. Connor is working with some undersized kids turning them into football players... Nothing against Connor, but I loved Sam, wish he was still there. Unfortunately he is gone, Connor can do this.. As long as he walks the path he is going, we will be fine. Give it another year or two...

Creek will be hurting next year. Their lines will average around 5'9" 200lbs. Lost most of their skill players. They are watering down the schedule which should help them record wise. They wont see 6 wins next year. This is no bash on the coaching, just no hardnosed football players at Creek. Most are just happy with wearing their lettermens jacket to Walmart and acting cool.

Creek has tons of potential talent. Its the coaches. What seperates a boy from a playoff school to ICHS? The coaches. Show me any coach on the ICHS coaching staff that deserves to be there. Other than Coach D. If you could get him to be the head coach, this areas next Reno is born. The only other coach that should still be part of a new ICHS coaching staff is Kuzakowski (sp?). He has the respect of the players. He is a very good D cord. Make him the D cord, Make Coach D the head coach and fire everyone else and I bet with those two coaches alone they could put together a better team than with what creek has now.

Also is Coach Lucas still there? He was a gym teacher when I was at Hills and I had him in 8th grade he was a good coach. Why hasn't he ever been given a shot?

Did he even ever play the game of football?
I'm not saying you had to be a great player or anything to be a good coach but playing the game would be a start.
Didn't Creek have a former Central bando running the D a couple of yrs ago?

I think your thinking of different coach he was from weirton and was in the band. I'm pretty sure Lucas played sports and was pretty good at baseball not sure about football though.

Manaze, on one hand you want all the coaches to be let go and on the other hand you mention 2 or 3 of them to be possible head coach candidates.
BTW Lucas cant even coach his jr hi team.

Only possible is Coach D. Coach Koos coached Wintersville and had a horrible record. He is a good D cord. Lucas was a good coach when I was there I don't know what changes have been made since I've left though but I'd rather see him get a shot at it than the last 2 coaches they have had.

Not sure but I thought you were talking about Robby Lucas 84 grad from Wville. Very good baseball player and played basketball, but didn't play football.
I think the other guy was from Oak Glen not CCHS my bad, I've heard both but that's ancient history.

The other guys name is Kessell (sp?) it took me awhile to remember it. Is he still coaching at Creek? I looked for a coaching roster for creek but could only find the head coach listed.

It would probably take 3 days to explain why I am so patient and another week to make you believe what I am saying... I was at the TOP of the list in an attempt to get Connor removed after last year... Then I opened my eyes. Please try to take it from me that Connor is on the war path... He is THE man for the job...

You sure know a lot about Creek Woods... You sure your not secretly an IC fan? :) Give it a year or two. Jr. High, freshman, and JV are totally different than Varsity... The best is yet to come :)

Ok here is my last attempt to talk about this. (Mayo just read past this it's not for you to read.)
Creek has as strong nucleus returning next year. They return the schools all time leading passer, Leads in season TD passes, Completions, Yards, and attempts.
He has 4 guys returning who can catch the ball.
Otto, Rupert, Spence, and Furda.
Not sure about the younger guys.
Running back is going to be a Junior #22 not sure of name but played well when he got in.
Line will be anchored by a senior center and two others who played many meaningful downs.
Defense will be built around otto. Who should break the school record for tackles.
On starting DB returns with 2 guys who played about 50% of the snaps. D-Line will have Furda returning at one end, and the monster on the D-line "78 maybe?"

6 home games most in 3 years.

"when he got in" another reason why creek fails every year they rarely sub in no matter who many points they are up.
