In that video game forum would it make sense to have music, videos, movies and TV shows all discussed?

Well, let me put in my two cents here. I was once a moderator of a slightly successful discussion forum, and it was quite happening in its prime. However, unfortunately, people wanted to make a separate forum for basically every subject out there, including Video Games, Music, Movies, and Sports. This was all good at first, but the problem became was these forums were used at not such a high rate, and it ultimately diluted from what was in our General Section. So the problem became, we had a ton of boards, but only a bit of discussion in each board.

Now, having separate boards is not the problem, as its needed to separate discussion. It's just seeing how many boards you can have without diluting yourself too much. We were a TV discussion board, and we had quite a bit of discussion on certain TV shows, so they got their own board, but other shows were just piled together. It's finding that perfect balance.

I think a Technology and Entertainment forum would work well.

Serious Business is just that.

Video Games and Technology is another subject.

I mean, you could get rid of the swimming/lacrosse/golf/hockey high school forums and condense them with the 'Everything Else' forum..

That would clean up the front page as well.

Technology and entertainment does seem to makes some sense.

I can also see the concern regarding too many forums.

I'd prefer the Tech forum over the SB forum
