I wouldn't say worse team, but I would say worse position in his respective division.  However, skating to the finals is no longer a guarantee in the east.

The drama with Lonzo, Rondo, Stephenson and Lebron seems ridiculous. It’s basically a made for ESPN team

The Lakers are not worse. You’re an idiot.

That is far more accurate than Classy's as usual dipshit take. Lakers without Lebron are likely a better team than Cleveland without Lebron simply because of youth and potential, since Cleveland is littered with way too many "meh" vets to be built for much of anything without him carrying them on his shoulders. But with the West being so much stronger than the East as far as high-quality teams, he'll have far more of an uphill climb to accomplish anything as far as team goals go. To the degree that simply winning in the first round of the playoffs has far more question marks attached to it than this past season's "Indiana does match up well against them..." stuff.

Getting real sick of hearing ESPN blow the Lakers/Magic Johnson for signing Lebron.

Don't follow BSPN but the local talk shows in Cleveland were still talking about him. Let it go...he's dead to Cleveland sports....quit harping/rehashing it....we don't want to hear about him anymore....move on. I've tuned it out.

So I must have missed this somehow, but the Raptors are now the betting favorite in Vegas to have Kawhi in their lineup on opening night. What?!?

LaVar Ball out there saying he'd have beaten LeBron in one-on-one back in the day because LBJ's soft, apparently not realizing that all it'd take is one text message from LBJ and Lonzo's on a flight to Brooklyn or Sacramento to enjoy a lifetime of 20-win seasons.

"[James is] too weak," Ball, 50, said during the interview, which was published last Thursday. "Back in my heyday, can't nobody hold me. 270 (pounds), benching 500? All I gotta do is back you in, I'll lift all of them up off their feet."

Quoted for the lolz. But of all the thing he's terribly mistaken about, his playing days has to be the worst.

He averaged 2 points a game for mighty Washington State, but can beat both LBJ and Jordan one-on-one. If I'm EA or whoever has the NBA license, I'd be including him in the game as an Easter Egg character and giving him the sort of overall ratings that, in Madden, they give kickers for all the blocking, tackling, rushing, etc. stats and publish a trailer with his character going against LBJ. Bonus points if, because LeBron is a Laker now, they show him brutally dunking on LaVar and then pan to the bench to show Lonzo cheering.

Vegas always knows...

@ShamsCharania:

San Antonio and Toronto are engaged in serious talks on a trade centered on Kawhi Leonard and DeMar DeRozan, league sources tell Yahoo.
