Hopefully they don't go on a run like (was it?) last year where they were getting no hit every 2 weeks.

Like we should expect anything less? This is a garbage ass team that's ridden the coattails of above average pitching and probably the shittiest division in baseball. Can't hit their way out of a wet paper bag but we're supposed to continue buying the "small market" bullshit.

Used to be a huge Tribe fan, way before the 90's run, and I've become apathetic towards them. If the division didn't exist, none of the teams in the Central are making the playoffs in most seasons.

Thats only been true for a few years. Cleveland was legit 2016-2019.

I get this but my beef with the Dolans has always been them crying "poor" and "small market."

To me, owning a sports team is a luxury, a "play thing" or a "toy" that you don't want to take a loss on but are willing to do so for the joy of owning said team.

The Dolans have always treated this like a desperate "OMG, I have to feed my family with the income from the team" type situation. When that's the stance, maybe owning a professional sports team isn't for you.

Oh, 100% in agreement with that. Part of that also comes down to no salary cap though. Even if you have billions, spending millions on someone like Lindor isn’t worth it when you can get slightly lesser production and severely lesser cost.

That was crazy. Significant suspensions I’d guess. Anderson can’t get out of his own way.

I’ve never seen someone actually get knocked out in a baseball brawl. That was amazing, Anderson got smoked.

I always remember Jose Bautista getting hammered by Rougned Odor….but rewatching video he just got smashed but did not fall. Kind of impressive actually. Tim Anderson dancing around like an ass and then getting knocked down on a side swipe that looked like nothing much (nicely placed and I’m sure harder than it looked)

What happened the day before between those two?

Post game José said Anderson has been disrespectful to the game for awhile now. And they had some words about his tag that pushed Rocchio off the bag yesterday. Jose got up today after beating the throw by plenty and said Anderson’s tag was a bit much and to stop trying to cheat the game. Anderson squared up at that point.

Anderson had the talent and the short window to be one of the faces of the game….was great, fun player to watch, great smile….MLB was giving him good props.

But he’s now closer to a clown for whatever reason.

White Sox have a history of not fairing well in baseball fights. Ryan/Ventura and now Jose/Anderson. And several years ago didn't they have a couple of fans jump the rail and attack the opposing teams base coach only to get beat down by opposing teams dugout.

Meanwhile, we let the lowly ChiSox take the series.

Pretty sure that was Jose’s first ejection of his career. He got his money’s worth.

Tito saying it was funny, but not funny is lame.

It was funny.

Rocchio has looked way better in this stint than the first. Arias keeps hitting it hard and looking more comfortable. And Naylor looks like the real deal. The rookie pitchers seemingly get better each start. The regression of the regulars (Naylor and Jose aside) is what killed this season along with an outdated manager and pitching injuries. But 2024 does look pretty promising if they can swing for an OF bat with pop via trade or FA.

Probably time to cut bait with Oscar and Brennan. I am not even sure they wont be really good somewhere, but the Guardians dont have room for everyone.
