I work from home and he is officially employed as my Chief Security Officer.  He gets room and board for his work.  To the untrained eye, he eats and sleeps all day.  But really, he's purposely laying low to draw in threats.  I can knock him as a bum.  But since I've been home-based the last year, there have been zero attacks.  So I guess he's batting 1,000.  Thinks he's the toughest guy who ever walked this planet.

He's a Shih Tzu.  He's actually a really good boy.  He thinks he's tough, but he's pretty chill around people and dogs.  If a big dog makes a move at him though, it is game on.  He has no idea that he's 16 lbs.

my idiot neighbor has coddled hers to the point where if they start barking and she tries to quiet them, they keep barking anyway because she'll eventually break down and give them attention.

they go into 20-30 minute barking episodes several times per day. i wish them nothing but the worst.

Not the kind of dogs I'd want next door.  My little buddy isn't a barker, but plenty of small dogs are.
