Was hoping Pirates would get him, but I understand why he went to Cincinnati. Pittsburgh offering a second year wouldn't be appealing because, after missing out on the big FA paydays, Suarez would be looking for a big year to try to cash in next year, as opposed to being locked in for another year. And if you're using 2026 as a springboard to one final big contract, Cincy's homer-friendly park that you're very familiar with (along with being popular with the fanbase) is a no-brainer pick over Pittsburgh's place.
