So much to celebrate in a couple of days!

The arts, athletics, victories both large and small, lessons learned, fashion, food, adventurisms, science. There is so much to be listed that it's nearly impossible to list them all!

As we brace for the boom-booms in the heat, please remember to stay hydrated, safe and remember our fallen!

Also, these are the last couple of days that some people will have all ten of their fingers.

I’ve been doing the accounting for our local South Carolina 250 non profit (on the side of my real job). It was funded by the state years ago. We started with celebrations on Carolina day which was last weekend, where SC defended Sullivan’s Island/ Fort Moultrie from the British. Got to go to a cool drone show depicting the battle at a 5 star hotel for my troubles. Took the kids to a plantation of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence (Middleton), and they had an 1818 silk copy on display (only 4 left), which was pretty cool to see.

SC claims to have had the most revolutionary battles/ skirmishes. Charleston even had their own version of a tea party 13 days before the Boston one, though they didn’t throw it all in the harbor. Ha it’s been nice for tourism and the city to be able to focus on a war that wasn’t centralized around slavery.
