I guess I will be the first one to say I don't give a fuck about the Warriors' injury woes.  They gave 0 fucks about Kryie and Love's injuries, while they were rubbing in their first title.  They also gave 0 fucks about all other teams that had major injuries during their matchups against them in the playoffs.

I’ll add that Klay is low-key the worst of them. Draymond owns his shit. KD is a fragile snake and everyone around the league knows it. Steph is bad, and the media protection of him sucks. But Klay...Klay is a douche and no one ever talks about it because he appears “cool” and the others on the team make him look “not-as-bad” so to speak.

Yeah it really seems like Karma is biting back big time for that first playoff run where they didn't have to play anyone at full strength.  Isn't that also the year that Zaza stepped under Kawhi?

No, that was actually 2017, after Cavs beat them in 2016.

Lakers get Wes Matthews and Montrezl Harrell in free agency. AD will be signing after Turkey Day. Lakers will be the far and away favorite to win the title again; no matter what happens with Brooklyn/Harden, IMO.

Davis Bertans and his 8ppg signs for 5 years/80 million to Washington.

Kind of surprised that not only Dwight Howard went to the 76ers and more so he’ll be replaced by Harrell.

Joe Harris just got $75M from the Nets. Jerami Grant got $60M from Detroit. Ridiculousness.

Money talks obviously but I just couldn’t imagine signing with the Pistons for any other reason.

They’ve also signed like 4 guys today. Also have seen some rumblings that they will be incorporated in some sort of a sign and trade with Blake Griffin. Not sure where he’ll go, though.

Lol at whatever the hell Pistons are doing.

Harrell is a net negative for any team other than Lakers, imo. But not having to defend AD, makes him a solid pickup for them.

The Thunder strategy to get as many draft picks as possible is getting a little strange. Who’s even left on their team?

For the NBA contract gurus, can you explain to me why AD's max contract per year is less than Lebron's per year?

Complete guess but seems right...Lakers have AD Bird rights? Because they traded for him, so he is resigning with the team who had his original contract? That’s my best guess without googling anything.

Lebron “hurt” by Kyrie’s comments that Durant is the first clutch teammate he’s had. Lebron should get on board with the rest of the world and ignore Kyrie because he’s a lunatic.

Well, yes. But they were also teammates for 4 years, and from the stuff you could see behind the scenes, appeared to be really close friends. LeBron even defended Kyrie on Road Trippin for his flat earth stuff. LeBron basically always had his back, so I can see why he’d feel hurt by that.

But yes, Kyrie is a psycho, so best to ignore.

I guess just keep this as the NBA season thread and Cavs thread? I don’t think there’s much basketball interest here anymore.

Anyways, Cavs look good so far tonight. But the Hornets probably also really suck.

The Nets looked great last night. You kind of forget how many other solid players are on the roster besides Durant/Irving. They should run with this and forget about Harden.

Heat looked good...Butler hurt though.

Zion tremendous body control after contact, nice to see him get more than 15 min snd play when it matters

If Zion doesn’t learn to defend the Pelicans will be awful. He was atrocious in both games so far. Borderline unplayable vs the starting units.

Any metrical comparison to other players who are non-defenders?

The games have all sucked today. Tough spot for the NBA with Curry and Doncic. They are fun to watch but their teams otherwise aren’t competitive.
