They'd have to do a sign and trade.

Windy says LeBron will not opt in so no sign-and-trade deals. Probably takes everyone out except Cleveland, Philly and the Lakers.

The Paul George thing sounds more like it's detailing his offseason vs just straight up announcing where he's going. Still stupid but doesn't sound as obnoxious.

I'm sticking with that he stays but not on a SuperMax. I think he signs the one year deal with the opt out/in for year 2, just like he's been doing. Then we get to go through this again next year. lol

NBA Awards show may be the worst awards show (besides Mutombo presentation) I have ever seen.  Can't believe I sat through that to see Harden win the MVP.

IMO, I think you could make a case for Lebron to be MVP every year. The NBA, not wanting to be a one-trick pony, would rather spread the award around to guys like Harden, Curry, Rose, Nowitzki, Nash, etc.

Thunder fans have to be feeling sick right now. 3 of the last 4 MVPs were drafted by your organization yet you have no titles to show for it. Also, Carmelo Anthony just opted in for a fuckload of money.

If you go by the true meaning, "most valuable", LBJ would win it every year. They should change the name of it to ""player who averages the most points/has gaudy stats on a team that gets a lot of wins in the regular season" but that's a bit too lengthy. If they didn't vote on the award until after the playoffs it's a no brainer on who would've won this.

Even by that measure, Harden shouldn't have won.

Not that it will necessarily matter but I did like what Harden said in his interview where he implied that the Rockets didn't need to add any pieces (hopefully a "we don't want or need you Lebron" type of comment) as they were a half away from the Finals. Also a nice underhanded dig at Durant.

Agreed. this just reminds me how fucking bs the NBA MVP award is. I haven't agreed with the MVP award 3 out of the last 5 yrs.

Going back to 2004, the MVP has gone to someone completely unworthy 8 times. That is bullshit.

The fact that Shaq & Kobe combined have as many MVP's as Steve Nash is enough to make one gag.

Clippers and Wiz exchange Gortat and Rivers. Weird.
