As most of you know, Massillon has won 24 state championships and 9 national championships. The knock on our program has always been that we can't win the computer championship. We have only won it on the field dozens of times, but not with some nerds creating algorithms behind their computer screens. This year we had the most computer points in the entire state!!! We are only a small D2 school, but we had more computer points than everyone (including the large D1 schools who are several times our size). Today, we are the greatest!!!

They have a good shot at winning their region...but then they will get trounced by Hoban in the semifinals. So, Massillon will still have 0 championships won on the field.

But according to Al, they've won it ON the field dozens of times.

Massillon won the computer championship, and Hoban won the AP championship this season. According to the haters of Massillon football, the computer poll is more accurate, but this contradicts what you are saying.

If you actually read what people say/type the "haters" are talking about winning it on the field, in an actual playoff/championship game. No one considers the highest Harbin point team the champion, no one considers the AP poll #1 the champion either. Win in week 15 and you are the champion, period.

Back in the day, we had all of the best teams in the state in our conference. We were playing a state championship game each and every week. We played a round robin tournament of the best. It was truly won on the field. If you went undefeated against our schedule, everyone knew we were the best.

Hoban and Toledo Catholic have been praying that someone upsets us so that they don't have to play us. It is just a different mentality than what we have in here Massillon. We have taken on the best from around the country this year. Our Harbin point total shows that we have played the toughest schedule in the state.

That little school from PA that could only find 37 players to go out for football is a great example of "taking on the best".

Your team is going to get trounced in the playoffs and rightfully so.  Unfortunately for the manchilds that inhabit Massillon, it will mean another winter of looking at old pictures from HS yearbooks from the 1940s and remembering the glory from "back in the day".

You are misinterpreting Al Bundy's post with this.

Appreciate the trolling with "facts", well done, witty

You have been proven wrong once again. In fact, the beat down that we delivered last night was so bad that refs called the game early. I have never seen that in a playoff game, but the refs called the game part way through the 4th quarter to put Whitehall out of their misery. I hated to see a Tiger game shortened, but it was the humane thing to do for those poor boys from Whitehall. It was very clear that they didn't belong on the same field.

By “refs calling the game early due to score” do you mean Massillon tried scoring with under a minute left up two scores, and the two teams got in an on-field fight over it? So the refs just decided to call the game?

The game was a beat down. It was obvious that Whitehall did not belong on the same field. Whitehall couldn't stop us, so they took cheap shots. The officials saw that they couldn't compete with us, so they called the game.

You can't really go by the score because it was a knockout. You just don't see them stop football games early very often. I've never seen it in the playoffs. If the refs didn't stop us from putting more of a beating on them, I fear that you may have seen a Rocky IV situation.
