Shingles for 6-8 weeks???

 

Who?

Tyler Olson has shingles.

Shingles are nasty!  I had a small patch about ten years ago. Yikes!

Years ago I had a terrible case. Painful rash that started under right armpit, worked its way across my chest and around to my left shoulder blade. Rash turned into hundreds of oozing sores. No prescription medicine then, only treatment was to Dab sores with rubbing alcohol. Sores turned into scabs and eventually dried and fell off.

That process was 13-14 days. That's why I was suprised to read 6-8 weeks.

And there goes Salazar to the IL. Supposedly his groin was keeping his velocity down last night. Woof. So Clev, Plutko, Bieber, Plesac...

Olson also to the IL

In a strange way, I'm glad to hear that Salazar is hurt. When I saw him pitching on Thursday night, I thought that his career was over. Maybe there is still hope.

I agree and also been thinking........shouldn’t he have said something about his groin issue before taking the mound?  I mean, he waited this long, why not be totally 100% for your return?

So the starter goes out due to injury and we are letting the replacement reliever own us.

My dad was in the box next to them. But he’s too technologically challenged to get video of it lol. I grabbed a screen-grab for him with him in it, though.

I had no idea who had shingles. Even searching on Twitter took a good 10 minutes before I found out it was Olsen.

Yep. Best friends to this day. Went to Ohio Wesleyan together and were roommates.
