posted by Gardens35After the 1972 season the Tribe completed a 2 for 4 trade with the Yankees. Indians got CHARLIE SPIKES, John Ellis, Rusty Torres, and Jerry Kenney. Yanks got Jerry Moses, and WHO?
John Lowenstien ..........or Oscar Gamble
posted by Gardens35Off by a year, but he was involved in another trade that I'll post here in a few. Have to do quick research to verify.
And I was basically kidding with Charlie Spikes :)
Still looking for an answer to this one:
- In 2000, what Cleveland native and former airborne ranger made his WWF debut as a member of “The Radicalz”?
Time has expired on the wrestling question. The answer is Perry Saturn (Satullo).
Today’s questions:
- What Indians reliever surrendered the only run scored in game Six of the 1995 World Series?
- Who is the Browns all-time leader in defensive interceptions?
Jim Poole?
I think Thom Darden is the interception leader.
Side note on Darden- His picture used to be posted in every Rest Area in Ohio as he was wanted for non-payment of child support.

Erik Plunk
Thom Darden (one of my favorite DBs as a kid)
Jim Poole is correct.
Thom Darden is correct.
I remember in that game six that Hargrove let Poole bat. I’m like.....what?
Our old pal David Justice hit the home run that turned out to be the game winner.
The Tribe only had one hit. Anybody remember who got it?
It was low in order. Thome or Pena is my guess. Unless it was a PH, which would’ve been...Sorrento??
1995 is about the very Fringe of my memories. I was 9 at the time. 1997 I remember like the back of my hand, unfortunately.

Of the the three names here, one is correct.
G.A. Ruddies.
Prior to the 1995 Division Series against the BoSox, the Indians had not won a post season game since the '48 World Series.
Cleveland beat Boston 5-4 in Game 1 of the '95 series.....WHO was the winning pitcher?
I believe this was the game that Tony Pena won with a homer. So the answer is a reliever, most likely. I’m going with Assenmacher as my first guess.
Pena did hit that game winner! Good job there.
A different reliever was the winning pitcher.
I’ll try Jim Poole.
Ha, tricky BRF. No, not Poole.
Lol, Albert Belle's bat got confiscated in that game too!
I gave up and looked it up.
Interesting.
I remember him being a really good pickup for the Tribe.
