There's not a QB in the league that has continually dealt with the bullshit he has. From Hue Jackson/Todd Haley, to Freddie Kitchens, the OBJ BS yet he he keeps bouncing back and fighting and WINNING. Oh, and did I mention he plays hurt and doesn't bitch about it?

BTW...the reason they went up "big" was a lot to do with the dime he tossed to DPJ. Also made legit throws to Schwartz & Njoku (TD) and two beautiful throws to Bryant & DPJ, where he got laid out. Quality over quantity, in this case.

By no means is he flashy or the most athletic QB in the league but if Stefanski allows him to open up this offense he'll do what you're asking. Doe he deserve a $40m/yr contract? Hell no, but I have no doubt he's their long-term QB.

I firmly this would've been going on all season had they cut off the head of the snake (OBJ) earlier in the year and let these younger guys try to flourish.

That was a nice pass and definitely what got the Bengals scrambling. Baker shows he can play well when the defense and Chubb are playing well too .. which is nice. But he hasn’t shown he has the ability to just put the team on his back and power thru a win. You’re right about stefanksi needs to open up his playbook. Baker does seem to make the right reads and makes them better when OBJ isn’t there.  Some of his throws being really late and really bad still persist though.

New England will be tough as I'm sure they will load up the box to stop Chubb. Chubb may have had his worst game as a pro coughing up back-to-back fumbles against the Pats the last time they faced. If the Browns can put up 24 on their defense, they win.

I believe Hunt & JOK should be eligible to come off IR this week but not sure either would be ready for this game.

Hunt is eligible, but they said initially he was an 8 week recovery. JOK I am not sure.

Could use JOK more than Hunt as I think DEJ is fine spelling Chubb. As long as JOK is back by Baltimore I'm cool with them taking their time.

Great post.  Call it what you want, but that was a great win - as fun a win as we’ve had in awhile.

Garrett is amazing. I've been very impressed with how he has expanded his abilities this year as well. He is making plays behind or at the LOS or runs, not just a pass rush threat now.

And obviously Clowney has always been one of the best against the run. Great combo, now stay healthy.

Reggie White was a beast. And to think the Browns were inches from having him signed when Green Bay swooped in and took him.

LOVE  IT !!! The man beast/potentially best RG in the NFL extended 4 years ! Love O-Linemen who want to "break" you like Ivan Drago. Will be interesting to see the numbers on this. Sure some money opened up once O'Smell got dumped.

I saw $28M a year and got really excited lol. That was only the guaranteed portion though. Either way, spending money in the right places at the moment.

If Ward keeps playing like he did against the Bengals, he's likely next.

Right. If anyone can outrun COVID, it's Chubb.

Guess I may be wrong on Ward getting extended next. Sounds like future HOFer, Joel Bitonio could be extended as soon as today. Only has a year left on his deal. This would be awesome in that Joel is probably having his best year ever and deserves to retire a Brown like JT.

https://www.si.com/nfl/browns/news/possible-joel-bitonio-extension#:~:text=Browns%2C%20Wyatt%20Teller%20Agree%20to,in%20terms%20of%20debilitating%20injuries.

To further note on this, how refreshing it is to see a front office lock in home grown talent to extensions where in the past they'd be traded or let walk in FA because they were trash draft picks.

JOK designated for return from IR this week while Kareem Hunt will not be ready. Still a chance JOK doesn't play but man they could use him with the way NE likes to use their TE's & RB's in the passing game.

If Ward keeps playing like he did against the Bengals, he's likely next.

What was the deal with Ward after the interception….he was gassed barely out running the big Bengals TE and then was out entire next series with oxygen mask…and I think that drive Bengals went down for a TD (possibly misremembering)

I know he chased receivers the whole drive and then sprinted 100m…..but he seemed oddly gassed for it not to be played in Denver.
