All 5-4 teams in AFC lost today.  Currently sitting in the last spot for the playoffs are the Ravens at 5-5 based on tiebreakers.  Browns are still in this thing!

LOL....yeah, they'd likely have to win out which would mean it would be very hard to get rid of Gregg Williams as the HC if he took them to the playoffs.

So there's a story on espn.com right now that the Browns want to interview Condoleezza Rice for head coach haha.

Saw a tweet that said the browns next week should send out 3 players to the coin toss next week vs bengals with the numbers 3, 36, and 1. Lol

edit:typo

Dorsey made a statement that they haven't reached out to Condi Rice. If that's the case, I have to believe that the story was leaked to Schefter by someone in the Haslam family which, to me, isn't a positive sign. Yee Haws need to stay out of this coaching search and just give the blessing on Dorsey's choice.

WTF are you talking about? Dorsey said they hadn't reached out to her. If not him, who?

There is literally hundreds of different answers to your question. I have no clue how it came out, but I also don’t 100% believe everything someone in power says in a news conference.

Also, who gives a fuck how it came out? Only you would take a non-story and make it into a bash session vs someone.

What "bash session?" If it wasn't Dorsey and it was a Haslam (nobody knows for sure) would you be happy if Haslam was meddling in this search after he said it was Dorsey's to run with? This hire is WAY too important, now that they have their franchise QB. They can't afford to screw this one up and a Haslam giving direction on the hiring process would be THE way they could screw it up.

Haslam isn’t going to be involved in this hire. Just relax

Exactly what makes you think that? His wife may be even worse than him when it comes to butting in.

Haslam is involved in every decision--he's the owner

This is Dorsey’s hire. Haslam will just sign the checks.

Agreed. He'll sign off on the hire but my fear is that it's just his nature to meddle.

lol, do you seriously believe that Haslam will leave it totally 100% up to Dorsey without any input or validation at all? I'm not saying that it won't be Dorsey's hire, but there's no way that Flying J Jimmy keeps his nose completely out of it...no way.

All owners do this. If they are signing the pay check, they are going to want to give their approval. I'm fine if it's a rubber stamp interview after Dorsey has vetted the guy out but if Haslam starts being a big(ger) part of the decision making team, I have issues with that. Let the football guys, do football things....just like the model you claimed you wanted to bring over from Pittsburgh.

Ok....Around The Horn just spent 5 minutes talking about Condeleezza Rice being a coach.

Arent the Browns just trolling the rule?
