I don’t think it’s a knock on Corbett as I think they like him at center as it is bitonio is so much better at guard than tackle that it’s not worth moving him there and taking away from the strength of the o line. I can see the reasoning behind it and also the weather Sunday could play a factor in it as well. I’m not going to go all bash hue on this and Harrison has worked with the first team for about 2 weeks now. It’s not like he didn’t work with them at all and they are just throwing him out there

I think Corbett will be the center next year and they will move on from Tretter. If Corbett isn't going to start, my question would be "wasn't there a LT option available at 33?"

Three things:

1. Corbett better be a fucking stud center.

2. Yes there were solid LT options on the board at 33, most notably Jamarco Jones from tOSU

3. Harold Fucking Landry or WRs options were sitting there staring the browns in the fucking face. You don't take a god damn back up swing guard/C at 33 when you win 1 out of 32 games. We totally shit the bed at 33 and 35 in the draft IMO. Neither are starting (Corbett and Chubb), and neither are elite players. Then looks like we wasted a 3rd pick in Chad Thomas, this draft backhalf ain't looking all that great.

LOL

Can you wait until at LEAST one fucking game before you go full retard? Thanks!

I'll reserve an opinion on Corbett & Chubb until I see them play more. As much can be said about signing Hyde in FA (waste of money?) if the intent was to draft a RB high(er). Do think Chubb is going to be a stud. I tend to agree on Chad Thomas though. Think he will be garbage.

I will say that when they were on the clock at 33 I was thinking "left tackle, left tackle" and when they took Corbett I was like "who?" Not someone, at all, on my radar.

Not necessarily predicting anything but if the weather forecast holds up for Sunday (90% chance of rain, 30-50 mph winds) I think this could favor the Browns. I know TheRapist has a cannon but I think the Browns have the advantage in the running game and could control some clock.

I was just about to post, can't we wait for at least 8 regular season games, before we cry and play the "what if" game?

I started bitching about the picks immediately. Don't need to wait to know they were bad picks, ala Brandon Weeden & Trich.

If it's any consolation, Joe Thomas said that Harrison will be a "starting LT for the next 10 years."

Joe Thomadamus also thought Shon Coleman would be the LT. LOL

At 6'6" & 295 he's (Harrison) got the frame for it. Plenty of room to pack on 15+ lbs.

So if Corbett becomes our center for the next 8-10 years are you still going to bitch?

As for Harrison, can we please wait until we actually play a game before complaining? And he was working with the first team the week of the lions game and then this week.

Depends on how well he plays at center. Also we tried to get him to play LT, then LG and he's been below our expectations there. It would be nice if we find a place for him on the line, but would have you rather a decent Center or an elite pass rusher in Harold Landry? No brainer to me.

I've seen him play. He graded a decent LT against a shitty Lions backup squad. I don't understand why you're trying to talk yourself into a the decisions. You can be excited about the Browns and think they're on the way up while also remaining objective about certain dumb decisions the proven incompetent HC is doing. Doesn't have to be 100% one way or the other.

You can’t say he’s played below expectations when he hasn’t played a fucking game yet lol  preseason means absolutely nothing.

I’m not talking myself into any decision. I understand the reasoning behind it. Bitonio is an elite guard. Moving him outside hurts the inside line. It’s not like Harrison is absolutely terrible. He went undrafted bc of character concerns and the fact he couldn’t stay academically eldgible in college. I’m not going to get all bent out of shape bc he’s starting, especially when it’s going to have 90% chance of rain and we need to run the ball well to win.

The bright side about that rain forecast is that Steeler fans will finally get a shower.

Well then, even more reason to start Bitonio at LT and Corbett at LG. Harrison has graded negatively in the run game, probably bc he's light in the ass. Either way, I think we've beaten this horse to death.

I doubt this happens but if the forecast stays static, this game could get postponed. Local weather guy saying "hurricane-like conditions" with "major flooding (5-7 inches of rain between Saturday night & Sunday).
