Nope. Rather get a guy with some proven success in the NFL. My ideal candidate is a younger coordinator that is creative and a leader. Not some retread bozo from the old boys club or a college guy.

Anyway...no thanks on a college coach from me also.

Yeah no thanks on urban. Great college coach but too many questions about how he’d be at the nfl level. 

Pass on Urban for me as well.  I don't trust coaches with little to no NFL experience. Urban has never coached in a NFL capacity.

This would be my ideal also, if they have to hire again in the near future. Need a younger guy who has maybe had experience at both the college & pro level (preferably offensive minded) who can mold his system to the talent around him, not vice versa (see Pat Schurmur)

Projected 53 man roster.....I'm sure this will change once the final cuts happen and the Browns have first choice of available FA's

I heard Kenny Britt got cut, we should kick the tires on him. Would be a great vet to help mentor and cheaper than Dez Bryant.... oh wait.

In all seriousness I am not expecting Shon Coleman, Jeff Janis, Kindred (I read he's only played 7 snaps on defense this preseason), Cajuste (Unless DeValve gets cut) to make the team.

I fully expect Nassib to make the team.

I actually expect Cajuste to make it over DeValve. Like I've said before 'can't make the club if you're always in the tub." Dude hasn't played in a game this preseason and he's not one of Dorsey's guys.

There will be some decent/unexpected guys available. If they can upgrade the D-Line, O-Line or LB depth, I'm all for it.

Not surprising but still great to read. I'm trying not to get too carried away as I've been down this road too many times. But I feel better and better about the Mayfield selection by the day.

The only thing that might skew the numbers a bit is that Darnold & Allen have probably had more action against the 1's than Mayfield. Still pretty excited about what I've seen from him so far.

He's the only QB on this roster that is able to consistently get large chunks of yardage through the air.

Besides the fact the Browns haven't been consistently good, my biggest concern in the first two games (Pittsburgh & New Orleans) is that they won't be able to score enough points against those offenses.

I think the defense will be pretty darn good but I've set my baseline for the defense to be less than 20 points per game. If they can hold teams to that figure, or under, they will win a good chunk of games. I'd hope that TT could muster 21 points of offense.

I expect Janis to.  Cajuste is an interesting case, 50/50 for me.

Hasn't DeValve been hurt the entire preseason?

Pretty sure that's been it. Only way I can see him making the squad is if they go off his previous track record and I'm not sure that will buy him a spot on the roster. I like him but you have to see the field.
