The Buckeyes didn't give up, but I sure did when they were down 44-21

Great comeback...until the last 26 seconds.

Too bad we don't have a point guard.

And Ohio State has their first good first half in a while, taking a 35-28 lead into the break. According to ESPN, the winner of the game has an 81% chance of making the NCAA tournament, while the loser has 10 (OSU) or 8 (Indiana) percent. In other words, better play an even better second half and not let this one slip away, because I don't have the inclination to remember when the fuck NIT games get played when I need to be fine-tuning my bracket!

Starting to pull away. NC State getting smashed by Virginia helps the bubble cause. But I think this win gets OSU in.

Tough to win 1 vs 5. What a no show in a just win game. At least I can go back to not caring. Was kind of fun to not have a rooting interest last year, but damnit this habit needs to stop.

Thats a good win for OSU and should be enough to get them in the tourney.

Last few minutes were about a reverse of the final few of regulation against Wisconsin. With the only difference being that OSU at least made enough free throws to stay in front. But, damn, why can't they just win easily, lol. The way this year has gone, I was watching the score get closer and closer and completely sure that they'd find a way to blow it.

down 20 with 5 minutes left, and some freshman midget named Foster Loyer is taking the Buckeyes to the woodshed to the tune of 14 points and 4/4 from 3...Kaleb picked up his 5th with 9 minutes left in game

unfortunately this can be said about any number of games this season--college basketball officiating has been godawful this year...and fwiw, how in the hell was that a blocking foul on Kaleb Wesson for his 4th???

I was watching on the in house feed, only thing I could think was heels on the line. But they never showed a good replay, of course.

And to that point, officials are just awful at calling charges. My proposed rule change is NO OFF BALL charges. You can only take a charge/personal control foul if you are the primary/on ball defender. It’s a dangerous play that is officiated incorrectly 90% of the time. And at this point, they can’t correct it because it’s been taught so young on how to take them. Just eliminate the rule, and any off ball “charge” is automatically a block. It would clean up the game immensely.

Now, off ball can still use the rule of verticality, but they MUST jump. Sick of the undercutting, pathetic defense blocks being rewarded.

What's an off-ball charge?  New to me.

If I’m guarding you, I am the only person who can take a charge on you. My teammmates are off-ball defenders and laley is proposing they not be able to take a charge while you have the ball.

I've always considered that a team control (offensive) foul, I guess.  Have never heard it referred to as a charge.  After looking it up in the rule book, I guess by definition, a "charge" could (technically) be considered any player (offense or defense) running over an opponent, not by the act of pushing.  A "charge" to the casual basketball fan usually references a "bang-bang" play, typically a "block/charge" call when a ball-handler is en-route to the hoop.

Right, and if I blow by the on ball defender, nobody else can slide in and take a charge. It’s bullshit basketball.
