Pickles are one of the easiest ways to add acidity to a sandwich. There is an actual culinary reason they are used so much. 

I prefer them on the side. Nothing against them, but I don't like how their flavor meshes with the actual sandwich.

I am aware. Maybe if places got edgy and tried a variant. Spicy pickles are awesome. Maybe bread and butter. But it's always dill.

What is wrong with “May I get your name?”  Or, hell, even “your name?”

ME: I’ll have two tacos and a burrito.

CASHIER: Is there a good name for that order?

ME: Yeah. How about “Two Tacos and a Burrito”.

All Pickles Matter

Pickles suck. I don't even like them on the bun giving off that nasty juice to soak in. I do like a cucumber in a wrap/salad though. 

Mayo is the best, and I have no idea how people do not enjoy it as a condiment.

After living in Holland for 6 months, I embraced dipping my fries in mayo.

But sweet pickles……NO!

Dill pickles and spicy pickles, YES! Sweet/bread & butter, or any sweet relish, nasty.

As far as mayo goes, I'm likely in the minority regarding that condiment but can't stand mayo, love Miracle Whip.

After living in Holland for 6 months, I embraced dipping my fries in mayo.

I dont do straight mayo with fries, but give me a flavored aioli and I am there. Garlic, Chipotle, Jalapeno, Pesto, Rosemary, Spicy Lemon would be my favorites. I see those on a menu, I am basically ordering whatever they accomodate as at least part of the order.

Been to Belgium a couple of times and they do it too, mix it with some curry ketchup, solid.
