Playing that course today^ looking forward to it. Played it last year but was piss drunk and barely remember it
Hopefully that link worked. I can’t see it anymore but I saw it the first time working.
Laley—you ever play Lost Marsh?
Where dat?
Just an fyi, sometimes when you paste a youtube link it'll embed the video twice for some reason. It's an issue with the wysiwyg itself, not really something I can control without going through their code. If you see it pop in twice just delete one of them and all is good.
where is that at?
84 (41/43) at Riverby just now. Course was meh, the rain last night left standing water in a few places. Greens were unfathomably slow. Had 2 birds and left a few 10’-15’ putts woefully short, which pissed me off.

Have not. In Chicago?
It’s in Munster IN so just south of the IL IN border. It is incredible. Shot a -7 in a scramble. I came 8’inches from my first hole in one.
Shot a stupid 46 last night to combo with my 41 for a posted 87 to GHIN.
Started out putting like shit but fine off the tee. Then couldn't get off the tee but was nails on the green. Had 3 doubles, 1 triple, and 3 pars. My nemesis hole got me again, and as it does, I tend to suck on the next two holes.

Try playing them a different way to avoid the issues that get you. Maybe hit to 5 irons instead of a driver and hopefully a wedge for example. Do something to change the mindset
I ended up doing that on 9 last night, hit 7 iron off the tee, 9 iron to 8 feet, 2 putt par.

Golf is so darn mental. Most amateurs are bogey golfers and there are endless amount of ways to bogey every hole. I know bogey isn’t the goal but if you are having a good round and you are a 90 golfer....the mental side often overtakes and gets you.
I essentially sucked on every hole today except 18. Even my pars were from chipping it close to save pars. Except I tee off on 18 and rip a baby draw down the middle. 130 out and pure a wedge to about 3 ft. Tap in bird. I’m not sure how you hit 2 perfect shots in a row after messing up the previous 30 or so.
I played Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport WV yesterday. FUCKING AMAZING course.
Well...my first time out in 2 years. Some of you know I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia last June and many things haven’t been possible and golf would’ve been impossible. My treatments in May have worked and I tested me myself good with 9 holes of golf. Score didn’t matter, able to get through it did. 6 pars, 3 bogeys and a 38 on a par 35. I’m still king of damage control. I could swing about 85-90% and that’s what I did. Basically had a mess of 155 yard shots in and I can no longer knock an 8 iron there....instead it’s more like an easy 5 iron, but never playing and I’ve lost my iron play so I took the old man utility club I call it (can murder it 210-220) but instead opened up almost like chipping and gave it a soft 2/3-3/4 chip type of swing.....worked several times and when it didn’t I got up and down 2/3 times. Made one long putt and got lucky on a tough number 9 but all in all I was quite happy to be back out there.
Friday 4 man we came in with 58 didn’t buy mulligans. winners 52. did get closest to pin 25$ bdubs and 18 with cart score
20 under? That stupid.
I shot a 39 and was playing so well...then came the downpours. Pissed we had to call it after 9.

Storms were not in any forecast I looked at all week. We got to the range and it was pouring. Stopped for hole 1, then we played in a hard drizzle for 2 holes. Then had 6 of dry, but windy...then the heavens opened up. Course was a river when we were driving back to the clubhouse (of course got stuck for 45 minutes on the complete other side of course).
Played decent today, was only +5 teeing off on 8 and then had a blowup hole. Finished +8 with a par on 9. Missed a second birdie (had one on 5) by about a centimeter on 9.
