He still has another case to be tried in California too.
23 years will probably be the rest of his life, so unless he gets paroled, dude's never going to be free again.
However, did you hear his lawyer say that he was a "first-time" offender? LOL
Dude was convicted of two different counts. Pretty sure that makes him more than just a first-time offender.
Just as well, his "woe-is-me" appeal doesn't hold water. I think he's a manipulator trying to garner sympathy. I don't buy his suicidal claim at all.
I try not to wish ill on anyone--even monsters--but I don't feel bad for the guy at all.
