About a 95% chance we will be relocating to Dallas in the next 90 days. I’ve only spent a weekend there before for a soccer tournament.

What can you tell me about Dallas. Anyone live there before?

I was just there two weeks ago. It's not bad in the area. If you like tacos, there is a taqueria every 38 feet (I think it's state mandated).

Lots of great Tex Mex and BBQ. Love a Rudy's chorizo breakfast taco. Have only visited a couple of times, but the Dallas area is huge and their highways are fast. My buddy lived in Frisco area for a few years.

My brother lives there.  Be sure to get BBQ at the Pecan Lodge.

It’s at least 25 minutes no matter where you gotta go.

Pecan Lodge and Hard Eight are 2 of the best BBQ experiences I’ve had in America. I prefer Hard Eight, cause you can sample literally the whole menu as it’s by the pound pricing for all meats and cooked in the grill/smokers while you move through the line...but then the women working at Pecan Lodge...

We’re going to go down in a couple weeks to start looking at houses. I will have to visit those bbq places.

It’s been a whirlwind 48 hours. Anyone have experience with selling a house and buying a house in another state. How does buying a house work with starting a new job do you just show them proof of income from the company?

To buy in another state, I just had to show proof that I had a stable job previously and that I had employment in the new state.

Selling a house in a previous state was a pain because I had to pay people to take care of lawn, snow removal, etc. The realtor checked up on it occasionally.
