Cleveland Browns 2023 Season Thread

Browns sign veteran guard and Cleveland native Rodger Saffold to the practice squad.

Only a few years removed from being really good. We definitely are not putting him at the guard spot(s) barring injury, but good depth in case. He also was a tackle when he and I were at Indiana, so wonder if he could slide back there? Its been a long time though...

Can also play center. I think he was a Pro Bowl rep for the Bills last year. Must have really fallen off if he couldn't find a spot on the active roster of that Jets O-Line.

No shock here but Flacco will sit against the Bengals. Must have a ton of trust in PJ Walker in that Jeff Driskel will start. Or they are doing it in case they win the Super Bowl and can say they are the only team with 5 starting QB's to do so. If so, well played trolling by Berry.

And interesting news, potentially for the playoffs, Elijah Moore & Obo returned to practice today. Getting Obo back for the playoffs could be huge. Had also heard Delpit hoped to be back but haven't heard any updates there.

54 years ago today the browns played in their last NFL championship game. They lost to the Vikings.

Interesting that Driskel will be the backup to Flacco this weekend instead of PJ Walker.

I don't have a good feeling about this game and have this weird gut feeling they're going to be one and done.

ESPN predictor bullshit thing had the Browns at 51% chance to win which I thought was low. 

I could see it being a boring, low scoring game. Cleveland’s defense never really lets them get going and Flacco doesn’t look great but plays well enough to win a close game.
