Wanted to start a thread to discuss the movie for those that have seen it.

I thought they did a masterful job of threading parts of all of the “franchises” or 22 movies together into a proper “ending”.

There were  many times in the movie where the audience cheered.

There were almost no negatives about the movie. A small time travel paradox or two that were in consequential.

The “girl power” moment in the final battle but that only lasted like 60 seconds.

The final battle was epic, amazing, and when Cap picked up Mjolnir was a pretty awesome moment

I watched Captain Marvel, and it wasn’t as bad as Thor 1 or 2 but it was up there in the worst MCU movies. Iron Man 3 is up there too.

Not knowing who Captain Marvel was, I thought "this character kind of sucks", then I realized it's basically Marvel's version of Superman?

Still doesn't erase the fact that Brie Larson brought all the personality of a 2x4 to the roll.

Captain Marvel, the movie, the plot was done well but same problem. Brie Larson has the personality of a 2x4 in that one too.

I am glad she wasn’t the main lead in this movie or it would have been stale.

I couldn’t finish any of the Thor movies. I had to ask a friend why cap was able to pick up the hammer when it was impossible before

Then you might not like it lol. Thor’s character took off when they let Hemsworth be funny, imo.

Ragnarok is my favorite MCU movie.  Very well done from a story perspective with Thor, and the humor is fantastic.  Taika Waititi crushed it.

Endgame was great all around.  Heart wrenching moments left and right combined with some great humor.  Have to say, if they really have Thor in Guardians 3 that has a chance to be incredible with that cast.

This.....Superhero movies are so ridiculous in their premise, that they HAVE to have great humor.  Probably why Deadpool is my favorite (wrong comic?).

Guardians is probably one of my favorites.  The humor was on par with any good comedy, and the plot and action were pretty good, too.

Other than Batman (who is NOT a superhero), I can't really think of any modern day superhero/hero movies without the use of humor.

Edit: I stand corrected. Logan (Wolverine's final movie) was pretty dark.

I thought Endgame was really good.  I like how the bulk of the movie just focused on the original Avengers members. I had my doubts heading into the movie, thinking they would bring back all the Avengers at the beginning and try to incorporate all of the members.  That would have been ridiculous. As mentioned earlier, it was a great way to cap off the 22 movie series and provide a path going forward for the next wave of Avengers.  Other than Black Panther, I don't think the new wave will do as well as the original group.

Logan was pretty bad ass. I think it would get even more respect if deadpool didn't come out at about the same time.

The current spiderman is my favorite spiderman

I'm also curious to see what they do with captain america. I like that character but he doesn't have the super serum. So far he's just been a dude with wings.

I'm not sure the movie needed to be that long. It started out really slow. But other than that I really liked it. I had sky high expectations going in, which made me think there was no way it could ever meet them. It wasn't completely predictable and I was thoroughly entertained.

captain america going back in time to live his life with the chick from first avenger is such BS. There is no way he does that, his entire character arc is based on the premise that he does whatever is necessary for the greater good. Leaving the world to suffer so he can bang out a few kids is a shit way to write Chris Evans out of the series. I read some article yesterday that summarized what i'm saying way better and gave some examples of why captain america would never do it.

Here is the link to the article I'm talking about.

1.  Thor Ragnorak was way worth it. It was really good while the first 2 blew donkey balls.

2. Cap was the only one that even budged it in Avengers 2 and he was able to wield it in the comics.

But the world had just been completely saved along with all of the time lines. I guess I am “ok” with it I just thought you meant the fact that the way he appeared went against the rules of time travel that they had just made up in the movie. As soon as he went to marry Agent Carter he was now in a different reality and wouldn’t be able to just show up and wait. He would have had to show up on the platform with the wrist watch thing just old.
