Not a typo.  Probable first year of expended playoffs.

G5 gets at least one seat at the table, how many times will UCincy be the 12th seed?

Notre Dame won't get a bye unless they join a conference, lol

SEC can get unlimited teams in, over under at 3.5?

I'd like to see the G5 get a guaranteed two seats, but it does show the P5 won't be "breaking off" to form their own entity any time soon

Overall I like it. I would rather see the round of 8 played in the top 4 seeds' stadiums instead of bowls.

I like it, a lot. I think it will add more teams into the mix. Will more teams win a title? Probably not. But, at the very least teams like Cincy, UCF, Boise, BYU, etc. can at least have a shot.

I've seen some of potential matchups looking back at previous rankings and they look great.

I also really hope they keep the home games for the first round and even the 2nd round. I am all for a southern team having to travel north in December/ January.

Guaranteeing a spot outside the P5 is a huge win. And potentially more. It's very good, kinda wish it was capped at 8 (because you'd still have de-facto playoff games with the conference titles). But this is still a massive improvment.

Will the top pro prospects from say the 9-12 teams choose not to play knowing they aren't winning the NC?

I also would like to see homefield in the first two rounds. Otherwise, #5-8 end up with a big financial advantage over #1-4 because they get an extra home game. If the first two rounds are at home, #5-8 would host week 1 and #1-4 would host week 2.

Interesting about Texas and Oklahoma possibly joining the SEC.  I read Rob Oller's column in the Dispatch this morning saying the Big Ten should also make a play for those two. I don't see Texas coming to the Big Ten for a lot of reasons. But Oklahoma could make sense for both sides.

If they go somewhere, do the rest of the big 12 teams try to join other conferences?

Perhaps. That conference - the Big 12 - is a Conference USA without those two.

Id go after Oklahoma and Kansas. Both great for basketball, and since you have to add a second team which wont be Texas, that seems the best alternative. Yeah, they suck at football. But Indiana is about to run that league, so youve bassically added a powerhouse in that regard already lol

The more I think about it, if OU is SEC bound for sure. B1G should go after Kansas and Oklahoma State. Brings very good additions to 3/4 money making teams (2/2 basketball and 1/2 football).

Teams will have to wait a decade to play some conference members in football.

In one particular case, that could wind up being Michigan's dream come true!

Good point, and it would give us some laughs if they lost to Kansas.

Disagree, if the B12 remains, the top schools from AAC & CUSA would try to get into there:

Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, UCF...

Kansas might be choice #3 (behind ND & Pitt) if the B!G decides to go to 16, Ok State is not a AAU, so nope

Iowa State could sneak in to round to even number as they are a AAU

*Edit (obviously the ND & Pitt might not seek to change their current situation)

That might actually replace Appy State as THE LOSS in their history!
