Jesus guys, if Hillary was organizing the event and telling themtto go to the streets and fight and burn down buildings, I’d give you a an equivalent .  

This was a dozen or so events loosely organized by a few dozen people. It was not an ATTACK on the capital where a joint session of congress going on with people wanting to kill the vice president and a president that watched on tv and did nothing to stop the event.

Really, its nothing to keep going on about. I simply posted a link to a vid showing how the FBI went overkill with an arrest warrant. Geeblock had something to say about my post because it bothered him in some way and derailed this whole thing. That's it.

What does that have to do with sitting president with the most resources in the world do nothing during a “rowdy tourist visit” while the capitol is being overrun with “disgruntled protesters”.

It sure as hell wanting to protect and defend the Constitution.

I'm just going to guess that you're forgetting that Trump did offer to strengthen security at the capital but was refused by not only Nancy Pelosi, but the mayor as well?

It's an easy tidbit that most people forget about or maybe still don't know.

He probably should have forced the military into the situation. That way he could really act out his Tritler persona. The media would have squirted over that!

23 protesters were killed i dont think they were murdered, i think most were deemed justified just to be factually correct.  I can understand the motivation behind the protests against police brutality not necessarily george floyd but a culmination of years of harassment by police.  As far as Jan 6, you can color it as walking around a building if you want, plenty of video has been showed on here of both people walking around and also people breaking down doors and assaulting police.  All because you are mad your candidate didnt win.  The same people this year when their candidate won accepted the results in 10 minutes.  Protests have often been a catalyst for change and aren't always pretty.  So while the violence and destruction I certainly condemn and many many people were arrested and charged.  The two murders that i found that were committed during the time of the riots both individuals went to jail for life as they should.  Its funny you can find good people just walking around on Jan 6, but not also recognize millions of peaceful BLM protests.  Anyway this is my position, its possible it is colored by many negative interactions with police, but we will have to agree to disagree.

People have the right to peacefully protest anything they want. As soon as BLM got violent, and let’s be clear it got very violent, it should have been stopped.

Jan 6 was 100% legit until they broke into the capitol building. Then it should have been shut down quickly and people should be in jail.

The point is comparing the 2 in magnitude is laughable at best, complete ignorant bias at worst.

lol, using that measure, every time Kamala told her rally audiences that she was fighting fascism that means that she was really out in the streets fist fighting every Republican.

It also looks like Hunter being pardoned all the way back to 2014 means that he cannot invoke the 5th Amendment.

The Constitution clearly gives the POTUS the power to pardon those convicted of federal crimes.  As you get into just charged or indicted it begins to move towards immunity if not fully there at this point.  When you get to just an investigation it goes further.  After that you get to the point a person can't be prosecuted for any crime committed between this time and that time you are really saying the POTUS has the power to grant blanket immunity.  I really don't believe that the founder's intended a grant of immunity power.
