lol rich that a Republican would bring up Gerrymandering as a Democrat problem. lol so dumb

When the dems dominated Ohio for 50+ years they never once gave consideration to amend the constitution with funding from out-of-state and out-of-country money from wealthy leftist elites, for the sole purpose of carving up congressional districts to tilt them blue in order to take back the US congress, as well as state legislature.  It's only when they continuously lose that they have to change the rules.  If it's a noble effort now, why wasn't it then?

Answer:  it is not a noble effort.  No on Issue 1.

Or they involve people who don't clutch their pearls at all hours of the day. So you're eliminated from them.

Keep spiraling, its entertaining.

I think she's in a downward spiral but I'm not counting the chickens until the vote is complete. Hope this news doesn't give voters the impression Trump has it wrapped up so they won't show on election day. I've heard a lot about a potential sweep of the swing states (doubtful) and winning the overall popular vote, which wouldn't surprise me.

Two your second point, I find it funny how some of these Dems are distancing themselves from Harris and are now positioning themselves as "Trump Democrats" trying to salvage something. One of the guys running in Michigan is doing it and it sure looks like Sherrod Brown is trying to attempt to do it too.

Brown's been doing it since before Kamala took over. When running as a D in a state that's been getting more R, it's smart to run as a more moderate guy who's willing to work with the other side and make the other guy flail around saying you're not.

I'm not very happy with Tulsi joining the Republican party. So many of her ideals fall squarely into the classical liberal sphere and some libertarian, that it just doesn't sit well with me. I think she is/was a more effective force as an independent.

I know that she cited the Republican party as the new "big tent party", and in most ways it has become just that. But at the same time I can't embrace that party. It would have to back up that claim and sustain it for some time first.

I guess I'm just disappointed.

Also the LA Times refused to endorse Kamala. This is kind of a big deal since the Times is the biggest paper in California. Her home state.

That is huge and says a lot.

EDIT: I read an article about this and it sounds like they are still backing her but, for some reason, just not "officially" endorsing her.

lol Kamala held a 5 minute press conference earlier to call Trump Hitler… again. Based on something he MAY have said 5 years ago. Internal polling that bad?

Hah! Hell no. But Dems know they've got SF, LA and SD in the bag no matter what. Northern CA. is where you'll find more red populations, but nowhere near the amounts needed to have a more balanced state.

It's very much like the Teamsters where the majority of the workers voted for Trump, but not conclusively.

It would be nice if she stopped dry humping that line. I keep saying that if she would only sell her high points, whatever they might be, she'd do much better.

When people take words like racist, some sort of phobic and now Hitler/Nazi/fascist and run them into the ground it doesn't take very long for those words to lose their power. If everybody is a racist, then nobody is.

Yeah, I think we'd have better odds winning the Powerball than her losing California. That might be the dumbest state (NYC, although not a state running neck & neck) in the country, and not because they're pro-Harris.

Not to mention she's just fanning the "crazy" flame for some whack job to say "oh, Hitler's ALIVE? Gotta get rid of him" and then we have another Butler, PA attempt. You'd think she'd have more self awareness but morons usually don't.

It does seem like the Ds are repeating the exact same mistakes in 2016, focusing on Trump's behavior.

Problem is, the voters that Kamala needs do not care about that...they care about the economy.

She is screwing this up by not focusing on an economic issues.

Even though the President has little influence over the economy, Trump is killing her on the issue and that's going to be reason she's loses this thing.

I was being facetious.

It’s not surprising that she’s not getting the support.  She’s not a great candidate. Being the only one with access to Biden campaign funds, she was the only realistic candidate though.   So here we are.

I think we will be surprised by just how many single issue voters will turn out this time. Abortion or woman president! or Biracial woman president!!!!!

That's what she has going for her and for millions of voters, that's enough.

When did the dems ever dominate Ohio for 50+ years?

Republicans have dominated since I was a kid in the early 90’s and you’ve decided to recently give us fuck boys like Gym Jordan. I’d imagine that’s why the initiative was started.

Democrats haven’t dominated in decades.  Seven times, the Ohio Supreme Court has ruled the product of the Republican-appointed redistricting commission to be unfair in favor of Republicans.  They are firmly in power in Ohio and led by a career politician governor.  Passage of Issue 1 threatens their stronghold, so I’m voting yes.
