So Jack, the man of science, volunteers to be the new man of faith.
What are the other three gonna do now, just hang out until smokey comes looking?

Des is gonna crash Penny's recital at the Widmore residence, bringing some old friend to talk about the other universe.

^^^^^ I was under the impression they were going to Jack's son's concert, so they can grab the good doctor. Guess we'll see on Sunday.

Epic is the only word that comes to mind.
Great episode. I love how everything was quickly moved along. The campfire scene was just awesome.
And we figured out why Whitmore went back to the island, and that Ben is still pretty damn evil.

Sunday is going to be amazing.
Locke vs. Jack, the season has come full circle.

I think Ben is up to something. I am not convinced that he is on Locke's side.

Very good show tonight. Finale on Sunday could/should be epic with 4.5 hours of LOST. Going to be awesome I hope.

Everyone ending up at Jack's sons concert could be very interesting next week if that is where they go or it could be a concert for Charlie's band but I doubt that. The anticipation for Sunday is killing me already.

Ben has always been on his own side so I am sure he has some plan.

I agree. I feel that ultimately, Ben is still power hungry. Now that he thinks he can have the island to himself once the MIB is gone. I think Ben becomes the MIB's character and Jack will replace Jacob (obviously after this episode) and they will now be the two at odds.

I enjoyed last night's episode as well. I was disappointed to see Ben go back to being, well...Ben. I thought that he had turned the corner earlier in the season. I hope that he has some sort of plan but more than anything I'm just excited to see how the writers bring this great show to a close. I don't think that I'll ever like a show the way that I like LOST. It tops my list of all-time favorite TV shows.

Ben is well..........Ben he does what he needs to do to have power. I thought that Richard needed a better way to die, or just be by Jacks side. 10/10 for the episode. The camp fire scene was awesome.

Is Richard dead? I don't remember him but flying thru the air after smokey jumped him. Did he lose his power not to die?

I am not so sure Richard is dead either. I think Locke/Smoke Monster just didn't want him to interfere with his discussion with Ben, who he admitted he was looking for. For all we know, he was just swept to the other side of the island, and who knows where he will turn up on Sunday.

ABC announced today that the DVD will have 20 minutes of more footage from the finale-- more answers to questions that they couldn't fit in the time slot.

Is this finale 4 1/2 hours long? 2 hour preview (7est) and 2 1/2 (9est)final episode?

Yep and then an hour show of Jimmy Kimmel with members of the cast and alternate endings at 12:30 I believe.

Here's an interesting take on Ben that I found on IGN's LOST message board......
1. First its clear new time line Hurley, has a great deal of definitive memories from his other life. As he recognizes the cop that freed desmond/kate/sayid.

2. I think Ben is trying to manipulate the man in black. Here is my reasoning. First, he sent Charles and Rousseau to his closet. But he sent miles into the forest. Before that however, he insisted to have Charles and Rousseus walky talkies. After which he gave one to miles. And he kept one. I think he intended to buy the MiBs trust, by giving him Charles, and his lackie. But he saved miles, so why would he save miles, only to go on a candidate killing spree? More over, the fact he sent Charles and Rousseau to the closet, and miles to the forest, suggests he had a preconcieved plan.

He planned to bring the MiB back to his closet, thus giving him Charles and Rousseau. He planned it before the MiB made a deal with him. Why would Ben repent passionately about killing Jacob for a half decent reason. Then plan to meet the MiB the man who convinced him to do it, and promise to go on a killing spree, all before he is told about the reward? Ben is a lot of things, but a cold blooded psychopath, is not one of them.

I think ultimately, he will sacrafice himself in some way to kill the MiB. Which will bring his redemption arc, that has existed this season (reinforced by his alterate time line counter part), to a great end.

Pretty interesting that the writer of that does not know the different between Zoe and Rousseau.

I'm guessing that was just a simple mistake. He also misspelled "alternate," "sacrifice" and "preconceived." Once you get past stuff like that.....there is some thought-provoking shit in there.

He typed it out four times.

I am not convinced that Roger, er Ben will be going on a candidate killing spree.

Ah well. Those bitches bear a resemblance to each other anyways. :P

I still think he might be on to something with his theory about Ben.
