I was assuming when he said "severe" that your shit just did not work and would not work. Ten years is to long for that.

But how much is it going to cost you to pay guys not to rape you when you go to prison for severe animal cruelty?

The wife (who was a kindergarten teacher) agrees with you. That sounds awful.

No.

Would you fulfill a contracted hit on an innocent mother of two small children for $5MM?

No.

Obviously no. This one is stupid.

Would you work in your current job for 10-12 hours/day for 2 years with no days off? I personally don't think I could make it.

...innocent? No.

...would you do an internet porn movie for $ 5mil knowing that your family and everyone you know would see and might sever all those relationships?

Yes. It wouldn't be fun, but it would be worth it in the end.

I can buy a new family for $5 million. Yes.

There is a bowl of 10,000 M&M's. 10 of them have poison that would kill you instantly after consuming. The other 9,990 are fine. Would you pick out and eat 1 M&M for $5 million?

In a heartbeat.

$5 million: Would you take a syringe that was handed to you, with the only explanation being that it wouldn't kill you, and shoot up whatever was in it?

Yes. The odds are good on this one.

I know it won't kill me, but I don't know it won't disable me. No. If there was a guarantee of no long-term side effects, then yes.

Revisiting the M&M question. There are 10,000 of them but 100 are poison.

I mean, there are hit men out there who kill "innocent" (as far as they know) people for $15K. Doesn't seem like a stretch for $5MM.

Though maybe admitting it on the Internet isn't something people would do.

Still yes, but I'd be more nervous. 1% is still a long-shot, but hell, with 100 of them, it seems more likely there could be a couple resting on the surface of the bowl of them.

Would you fly to Thailand by yourself with nothing but the clothes on your back (nothing in your pockets/wallet/cell phone/etc.) and spend a month in Bangkok if you got $5MM once you figured out how to get back to the US?

Yup, go straight to the embassy.

Would you be somebody's slave for a year for $5MM?

Hell no.

For $5M, would you liquifiy all your food or be fed intravenously for a year? You cannot eat a single bit of solid food.

Would you leave your wife/significant other with out saying anything to details why you left. Just left never saying a word to anyone for 5 million.

I'd do it for free if it weren't for the children.

Call me an idiot (go on, go ahead)... but can you share with me (being serious) why this is so risky? We have an exchange student from Bangkok.

It's a realistic answer. There were no other stipulations to his hypothetical.

The embassy will be able to resolve 90% of the issues and then you're looking at a month vacation in Thailand (where the exchange is heavily in your favor) before winning 5 million.

This assumes you know right where to go (you have no map, and I assume you don't speak Thai).

This assumes you have an easy way to garner transportation (no wallet, remember?).

This assumes they let you, a random stranger with no identification, into the embassy ... something they're not obligated to do even if they know who you are.

Still feeling good about it?

I doubt it would be hard to find someone who speaks enough English to help you.

And the Embassy is there, in part, for people who've lost or had their papers stolen. Someone who speaks fluent English and looks American? I'll take my chances.

You're right. I suppose I should have picked a better city. I wanted to confirm that it was, in fact, easy, so I just talked to a good friend who lives there. He confirmed that it's really easy, but that the accent you'll get will sound like comic book Chinese.
