Would you be a horse fluffer, 1000X, for $5M?
Yeah....your job for 35 years. A class of kindergarten kids is easy for sure.

LOL, missed the 35 year part. Although, I really doubt a kindergarten teacher's job is more stressful or challenging than mine.

Yeah, but considering it's nothing anyone on here wants to do and it's for 35 years....that's $140,000 per year.

Just trust me when I say that kindergarten takes a special person. I joke at school that I'd need at least $50,000 more a year to teach a kindergarten class.

Just a bad joke to me - I work almost twice as many hours, lots of travel, and impossible deadlines knowing I could be out or work if I make a mistake.

And I'm sure, as in many cases, it depends on the school. I'd also say from firsthand experience that perceived stress is pretty highly correlated with how fairly you believe you're compensated.

20 five year olds....1/3 of them can't do much of anything, 2/3 of the boys are bad and 2-3 of the 20 will require as much time/energy as the rest of the class combined.

It's one of those things you have to do it for a day to even remotely understand it. No one is saying your job isn't way more stressful.

You have kids?

No, just saying for the right price people will put up with a lot. If I wasn't paid quite a bit more than an equivalent corporate job, I wouldn't still be doing what I am. Occasional work from home and a healthy bit of time off also makes a huge difference.

I'm the only one that responded to your question. I'd be willing to bet MILLIONS of people would be lining up to teach kindergarten for $140k a year. You're going to pay people 2-3X what they can get doing something else and I'll bet they figure out how to survive.

I'm sure they would....I was addressing the 30 people on this site. If you don't want to teach...and teach young kids....you are going to be miserable going at it for 35 years at $140,000....nice salary but the job would be hated by most.

Fair enough. Agree to disagree. STILL being miserable making 2-3X what they would otherwise isn't really a deterrent, is it?

I don't have a favorite, but for $5 million, I'd let someone else pick whichever pet they wanted me to kill (didn't say how I had to do it, so it would be an injection after putting the dog out).

Would you not shower for a year for $5 million?

To the letter....absolutely (I'd laugh my ass off in an expensive bubble bath every day). In the spirit? I don't think I'd make it a month.

Would you wear a "Dead Nigga Storage" sign in south Chicago for 2 hours, for $5M?

Would you go on a strict vegan diet for the rest of your life? This assumes you're not already vegan/vegetarian.

Shit, vegan would be tough. For $5mm? Sure, why not. I could probably hire a bomb ass chef for the first year, then have him/her leave back the recipes and grocery lists with each. Doable, and worth it for the money, IMO.

Would you lose your dominant hand for $5mm?

$140,000 a year wouldn't keep 75% of the people quitting after a few years

Physically kill one of your kids favorite pets with a knife in front of your kids? Is it worth 5 mill?
