of course they do, many of these folks would not own a dog otherwise. The owners get a pit when so many other types would not be a threat to their family, unbelievably selfish people. The vets support and defend the pit to make money off them.

Some folks brag about their possessions, some go to Africa to poach lions and some own pit bulls, all to hide their inadequacies.
The pit owners are some of the worst, because they bring killer dogs into their homes and neighborhoods.

Gosh a ruddies, the sources I have cited rely mainly on contemporary newspaper or tv news accounts of the incidents. These are considered by researchers to be primary source material. The later sources you have used are from organizations with a bias or financial interest in keeping pits as pets. The news accounts rely on people who have personal knowledge of these dogs for extended periods of time. Close neighbors, family members of the owners, sometimes the owners themselves identify these dogs as pits. Their knowledge is superior to the producers of these pseudo scientific reports. Pits are killers.

But reputable animal experts insist that the dogs are not inherantly killers, just like people of "bad breeding" are not inherantly bad people.
