And the identification are not by some passing individuals, they are from the neighbors and families of the dogs' owners who are most likely to be their victims.

It is so easy to rave about personal responsibility and accountability when the victims are usually not the ones being irresponsible. And someone being held accountable does them no good when they dead. The majority of types of dogs have not killed people.
If we found that one type swimming pool was involved in far more deaths than any other, we would be irresponsible not to discourage the construction of that type of pool

You are worried about 20 kids killed in a year, when a thousand die every DAY at the hands of their own mother who was too irresponsible to use birth control or control her own body. IT IS about responsibility and accountability in all that we do in life.... Whether we are talking about dogs, swimming pools, pregnancy, owning a gun, or driving a car etc etc etc. Life is dangerous and none of us are getting out of it alive. In Ohio: hyenas; gray wolves, excluding hybrids; lions; tigers; jaguars; leopards; cheetahs; cougars; bears; elephants; rhinoceroses; hippopotamuses; African wild dogs; Komodo dragons; alligators; crocodiles; caimans, excluding dwarf caimans; black-handed, white-bellied, brown-headed and black spider monkeys; common woolly monkeys; red, black and mantled howler monkeys and poisonous snaked, anacondas. So we have set the precedent.
Notice for example some type monkeys are allowed and other forbidden, some types of snakes allowed other forbidden and one type of dog outlawed. Pit Bull are proven killers, In the last decade they killed more Ohioans than any of the above listed animals and any other type of dog.

The identification is not by any experts and is not established via evidence. That means that those facts you so proudly wish to deal in are unsubstantiated, and thus, not facts.

The identification spin is a subterfuge by those who want to continue to keep their killer dogs despite the risk. When the attacks take place they have the information about the killers is available from neighbors, family, vets who examine the dogs post killing and the owners themselves. The dogs kill and only the foolish, arrogant and selfish continue to own them.

In your above post you listed all sorts of WILD animals. Dogs are DOMESTICATED. Pit bulls kill because they are trained to kill and that responsibility is on the owners. If you were to ban pit bulls, people that want that type of dog would simply train another type of dog to be viscous. And any dog showing aggression toward any human being was immediately culled.
