I am having problems with Google Maps. It is not showing my exact location. It is showing some random location. Anybody know what I can do to fix this?

Seems as if mine isn't working right now either..click on 'my location'..and it takes a second..then comes up that 'your location is currently unavailable'.

yeah, is it showing some place close by, just not exactly where you are at? some programs us the cell towers to locate your phone. or could it be showing the last place where you had your GPS on?

Sometimes it will show my location but other times it shows a nearby location. I am new to this so it could be something I'm doing wrong haha.

sounds like your GPS is not enabled and it is just using cell towers. or you could be inside and its not getting a good signal.

music junk- just like limewire, etc. Can download songs for free and they go straight to your music player.

However, doesnt seem like a whole lot of songs are on there. And I've heard something about it getting taken off of the market.
Are there any other apps like this(better) that i can download?

I just wanted to echo the use of 4Shared.com. I revisited this post and never noticed the link to that site for free apps before but I have spent the past hour trying out some of the Top Paid apps for free. Great site that everyone should check out!

I use Tube Downloader if there is a song I want to download for free. It downloads the audio from YouTube videos as either mp3 or aac files.

Anyone have any ideas for a video player. I have downloaded a couple, but I cannot get any video...just the audio. I used handbrake to convert an avi file over, but I must be doing something wrong.

Premium subscription to Pandora for $33 a year = unlimited 192kbps streaming.

$30 for Replay Media Catcher (other software available to capture streaming audio).

=> time-shift Pandora. That's right, I specifically said "time shift"

But to be honest, increasingly when I have a 3G or WiFi connection I just listen to Pandora as kind of like a random playlist. Create a bunch of stations, fine tune it....subscription gives you 6 skips per channel per hour. I actually like discovering new artists since I don't listen to radio much any more.

Just used Pandora for the first time today. was a little skeptical that it would pick music i like, but it did a good job. normally i just listen to the few hundred songs i put on my phone, but i got a long road trip coming up so figured i would try Pandora to get a little more variety.

those are hit and miss, some actually still continue to drain your battery because that app is working. i know on the droid you can go into the app settings and check what apps are running and shut them down manually.

Yeah, I have heard that as well, but it works pretty well with mine so far.

I am hoping that my Zagg screen protector gets here today.....the Incredible is by far the worst smudge magnet ever!!

Haven't fully mastered this yet. I've added 4-5 artists or more per channel, and I get repeats on various channels with similar genres.

I think the way to do this properly is to pick 4-5 similar songs to seed a channel. The most restrictive would be 4-5 songs for one artis. I'd guess that might give you a channel "playlist" of 50-60, but certainly less than 100.

I wish they'd add buttons to make it easier to delete a song for a month or "kill" an artist on a channel (but not others), but pretty obvious why they don't.

Haven't really tried their stock channels yet. I know for rock/pop they have maybe 20 different sub-channels, and that's probably a better set-up than you'd be able to create with a lot of effort.

I guess i got lucky. i just put bon jovi as my artist and pretty much got a bunch of 80s music and even some new rock that i liked. i did get a few repeats but they were live versions of the songs so i can see why. the only odd ball song i got was a beatles song haha. i listened to it for just over 2 hours and maybe only skipped 3 or 4 songs.

TuneSync = AWESOME if you use iTunes and/or Amazon for your MP3s. For $3.99 it will sync your iTunes on your home computer with your phone's SD card and also upload anything you downloaded to Amazon MP3 from your phone to your iTunes.
