Did any of the players manage it, or just the team?

Just looked. Bill Russell was indeed on the team during all those years.

Saw yesterday that the Cavs were speaking with Tyronn Lue about their head coaching vacancy. I laughed a little.

Cavs FO seems like a clusterfuck
Have heard that nobody, of note, wants to coach these guys because of Gilbert. Have heard him referred to as the "Jerry Jones of the NBA." Pulls stuff like this Calipari deal and tries to always make a splash with the big name. Sounds like he meddles a lot.

Don't laugh. I've heard he's one of the "up and comers" and has learned a lot from Doc Rivers.

As long as they don't re-hire Mike Brown I think we will be okay.

What about Patrick Ewing. A few years ago I remember people raving about how he is ready to be a head coach in the NBA. All of a sudden he is getting passed up by guys who literally just retired from playing.

I think he could mold embid into a great player.

The only reason Tyronn Lue should be mentioned in an NBA topic lol.

But seriously, if Tyronn Lue is being talked to, id be concerned as a Cavs fan. Id want someone with at least a little experience as a HC. Or someone who was at least a little better of a player. They tend to work out better it seems.

Would not be opposed to that. American coach who has done really well in Europe. Heard he is a control freak as a HC, that could be good or be his downfall. Sounds like Steve Kerr really wants him on the GSW staff.

David Blatt, Maccabi Tel Aviv head coach. Article highlights his knowledge of the Princeton offense and that he was the head coach of Russia's national team in the 2012 Olympics. So he'd have some familiarity with Sergey Karasev.

Depends on if they buy in. Nobody would consider Gregg Popovich a bad hire, and he is a control freak.

Lol trying to draw a connection to the team, that's all. I have hope Sergey becomes a solid rotation player.

It would. If they could somehow land him, I think that would be the only way that Judas would consider returning.
