He was still a terrible player. Hopefully this regime doesn't play penis flickers and put him in the fucking dleague ASAP.lhslep134;1626900 wrote:he also played for an absolutely terrible coach at developing players
He's the David veikune of the nba. Just horrible.

I think he's a good defender, rebounder and a great energy guy. Is that worth $9.8M a year? No.SportsAndLady;1626888 wrote:Agreed. Has there been a more overrated baksetball player on the Cavs then Varejao?

This. Not to mention extremely injury prone. I've been wanting to dump him the past 3 seasons.sleeper;1626920 wrote:I think he's a good defender, rebounder and a great energy guy. Is that worth $9.8M a year? No.

Yes. Add in injury prone and even $3-4M might be too much.Pick6;1626927 wrote:This. Not to mention extremely injury prone. I've been wanting to dump him the past 3 seasons.

And being so certain on a player their first season playing professional basketball is illogical. Have an opinion, fine. Bennett had a terrible year last year. No one will or can disagree with that. But being so certain Bennett is terrible just makes no sense. He was out of shape coming off an injury (no excuses, his fault, but a fact nonetheless) and playing for a coach whose worst trait is developing players (which says something considering his lack of offensive competence).

Also, hating on Bennett is even less constructive when you consider there isn't a player we would have drafted there who would have done better last year.

Not saying he will always be terrible, just that he's currently terribly, was terrible and belongs in the d league.lhslep134;1627038 wrote:Also, hating on Bennett is even less constructive when you consider there isn't a player we would have drafted there who would have done better last year.

If he sucks out the gate next year, send him to the D-league. I don't think he will be an all-star ever, but I still think he becomes a solid piece in a rotation.Commander of Awesome;1627042 wrote:Not saying he will always be terrible, just that he's currently terribly, was terrible and belongs in the d league.

FWIW
LeBron James is not interested in taking a pay cut to save the Heat money, according to sources.
James has the option of opting out of his contract this summer to become an unrestricted free agent, but would be owed $20.6 in 2014-15 and $22.1 million in 2015-16 if he decides not to opt out. One line of thinking is that LeBron could opt out of his contract and take a pay cut so the Heat can add to their roster, but team insiders insist that James isn't looking to save the Heat luxury tax money and wants a commitment from the team to spend any saved money on adding players. With Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in similar contractual situations, LeBron's decision will likely cause a domino affect that will either keep the Big 3 in Miami or send Decision-like waves across the NBA landscape.

Lebron doesn't need to take a pay cut. He's already substantial underpaid for what he produces on the court. It's the other two bozos making $20M a year that need to have their salaries slashed.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1627169 wrote:FWIW

Vegas odds on Judas' landing spot:
CHeat- 1:3
Cavs- 7:2
and a bunch of other teams at 13:2
Interestingly.....odds of winning the championship with Lebron:
Cavs- 3:1
CHeat- 7:2
Only Chicago, without LBJ, had a higher odds of winning the title (2:1).
Also interesting is the Cavs odds to win the title without Lebron are 25:1. The Cheat's (without Lebron)? 25:1
per Bovada

^^^Along those lines, the odds for winning the title next year were immediately released last week, and the Heat were the favorites. I thought that was odd seeing as how exposed the Heat were. I think technically the only player that will definitely be on the roster after July 1st is Norris Cole. Everyone else is a free agent/retiring.

I don't see Lebron going anywhere else besides Miami or Cleveland. No other team really makes much sense for him.BR1986FB;1627465 wrote:Vegas odds on Judas' landing spot:

I can see it now... a LeBron commercial with him walking, looks over his shoulder back at the camera while "I'm coming home" by Skyler Gray plays in the background.

We should all want him on the team since he's the best player in the game. But the media storm is going to suck. Imagine if the Cavs don't win the championship his first year back, and everyone will start debating how he should have stayed in Miami or went elsewhere.

They are the favorite because the east is dog shit so they are practically guaranteed a spot in the finals. The top 4 or so teams in the West can all make it to the finals so they are all less likely to win.friendfromlowry;1627471 wrote:^^^Along those lines, the odds for winning the title next year were immediately released last week, and the Heat were the favorites. I found it interesting that none of the Cavs picks made the list, No Irving, Waiters, TT, Delevedova, Bennett. Pretty pathetic considering the top picks we've had. Just shows how weak 2013, 2011 draft classes were.

No I said he was a can't miss prospect, then people began arguing that obviously he wasn't because of how well Durant turned out. I then tried to argue that there couldn't be two can't miss prospects in a draft? To no avail.
