I'm only speculating, but maybe because he seems himself becoming more of a power forward as he gets older? I honestly have no idea though. I would have told him to gfh.

I'm guessing Coach K has something to do with it. Probably talked him into it. If him mentioning Parker is true to begin with of course.

I guess he technically is playing a lot of PF right now with the Heat and their small lineup..but still a Parker, Lebron, Kyrie, and Dion team would have way too many guys that are ball dominant, imo.

Lhslep, no idea how the cavs can have a better roster than the heat.
To be fair, he said without LBJ. The Heat are really a 3-core team with decent secondary players like Allen and Chalmers. Take LBJ out of the core and you have an aging Wade who has maybe a year or two of player above replacement level and Bosh who's overrated to hell in my opinion. Contrast that to the potential Irving/Embid Core who are all younger and have a higher ceiling tha both Wade/Bosh. Add in Bennett who could pan out to be a rotation player, TT, AV, Waiters, and another FA with all the cap room and I could see the Cavs roster being a more attractive option than Miami.

I still think Lebron stays in Miami though.

If his back checks out....the pick better be Embiid and LBJ can GFH if he doesn't want to come to that core.

I was picturing both lineups with Lebron. I don't see Lebron leaving bosh/wade for the cry babies in waiters and kyrie.

This may have been posted on pages back but I had heard awhile ago that Lebron wasn't all that fond of Kyrie's game and thought "you can't win a championship with him." This was a few months back.

Embid would be the best or second best player on the team over Waiters/Kyrie. The core of Embid, Irving, Lebron, Bennett, TT, AV, waiters is better than what Miami has.

Not for 2014-2015.

Disagree. But even if it isn't; would you rather have Cleveland's core over the next 6 years or Miami's core?

Lebron can still play one more year at Miami and then decide.

Like I said, I think he stays in Miami. However, with winning the #1 pick, it definitely opened the door for him to consider walking into a young, highly talented team. If Bennett ever grows up, which I think he will have a much better year next year, the Cavs will be scary good even without Lebron.

I don't think Bennett will ever live up to the value of his pick (nor will the rest of that class IMO), but I definitely think he will te bit around and have a NBA career.

It's hard to say but watching him play in college and then watching him play in the pros is like night and day. Something happened to really nullify is transition and I think he will be a solid piece once he figures out the pro game.

Bennett is a bust. I'm not looking forward to anything from him outside of 9th man duties.

If he plays like he did this year, the Cavs should just cut him. I think he will come out and play much better next year though.

You guys are way too quick to give up on Bennett. I hate playing the "I actually watched him card" but I know you none of you guys (except maybe COA b/c he's on the WC) watched him as much as I did before his shoulder injury. One of my classmates is a UNLV grad and we watched their games together because I had heard of Bennett's hype.

Dude is the real deal and he showed flashes of it last year despite trying to adjust to the NBA and playing for a terrible offensive coach (don't discount that).

Also, none of us know what other moves our team will be making this off-season. If you go back and read my post, I said there's a good chance it will be better. I mean that to include the moves we have't made yet.

I didn't watch a second of Bennett NCAA ball other than the tourney game and draft videos. Watched him as a cav and he sucked ass. Hopefully he lives up to it, but nothing leads me to believe he will

I think Bennett might turn into a passable NBA player. Too much of a tweener to be anything special, though.

I'd personally keep him over Thompson.

The NBA is full of tweeners, it's really a positionless league anymore.

And that's a fair point. I can't sit here and disagree with people who think he sucks or is a bust because that's what the tape from last year shows, with a few flashes.

I'm only saying give it some time, and maybe a decent coach, and let's see.

I see us getting rid of Thompson because we have faith in Bennett.

I want to agree with you and feel confident about the pick, but too many players were great in college and busted in the pros. Just because Bennett was a beast at UNLV doesn't make me feel any more or less confident in his ability to do well in the NBA.

The NBA is full of guys that can play multiple positions, not guys that can't fully play any position. Its pretty much the exact opposite of Bennett.
