Yeah this might be the best (worst) comparison I've seen classy make.SportsAndLady;1718438 wrote:I've been to BG several times and have been to basically every bar there. Nothing about it or its bars are similar to wrigleyville (a place that 200 yards from my apartment). Hope this helps.
ts... you would be correct unless they've completely changed in the last 3 years (possible but not likely since it's BG) Ziggy Zoomba's is nothing close to a gastropub.
As for Jans house at Stone Ridge... That would be a great place haha. I had my wedding reception there and it's a really nice place course was pretty decent too.

I've said on here Footwedge is the worst but every time classy makes an incredibly stupid and naive post like that makes me think he might actually be the worst.SportsAndLady;1718438 wrote:I've been to BG several times and have been to basically every bar there. Speaking of Wrigleyville I'll be in Chicago for an extended few days around Memorial Day weekend if you want to grab a drink.

No Reverends is a new place and I didn't say it at first, one of my good friends who grew up in Schaumburg who goes here does. Not a college bar in the slightest

I'll be there Thursday night through the following Wednesday. I'll text you closer towards then. If you'll be back on Tuesday maybe we can hit up a happy hour or something. I'll be working remotely during the days I'm there.SportsAndLady;1718460 wrote:If it's Memorial Day weekend I'll be in Denver. Shit

And you repeated it, including the term "honestly", which means you adopted it as your own opinion. So blame him all you want but you're both idiots for comparing anything in BG to Wrigleyville.Classyposter58;1718459 wrote:No Reverends is a new place and I didn't say it at first, one of my good friends who grew up in Schaumburg who goes here does. Avery Johnson has agreed to be the coach at Alabama.
Today's WTF moment.

I heard he wanted Texas, and probably was their next choice. Agent must've reached out to Alabama. He fits in Texas, seems out of place at Alabama.

So, how may UK players are going to bolt ? Cauly Stein already said he most likely will. I am sure the Harrisons are gone. Be shocked if Towns returns...top 3 pick he is. Who else?

Lyles, WCS, KAT, Harrison's, Booker are my guesses.
Johnson could as well.

Towns and Cauley-Stein are top 10 picks. Lyles and Booker, while both could easily have a Cauley-Stein type impact if they returned, are still top 20-25 picks. Dakari Johnson is probably a first rounder, so wouldn't be surprised.
The Harrison twins, well, neither is even projected well. Chad Ford has Andrew 58th and Aaron 80th. If they go, it's because they decided they were going long ago.

How is Cauley Stein a top ten pick? He can't do anything but defend. The only guy I see having a big impact at the next level is Towns.Azubuike24;1719162 wrote:Towns and Cauley-Stein are top 10 picks. I don't disagree, but I don't make it up either.
Chad Ford has him 6th.
Draft Express has him 6th.
NBADraft.net has him 10th.
He's a good passer and has a nice shot. He just doesn't use it much.
Then again, I can't say he's far worse than Nerlens Noel, who also went 6th. They played the same role, and obviously Cauley-Stein was asked to do more defensively and much, much less given the other offense on his team.
Give me Booker and Lyles over Cauley-Stein, neither of those 2 just aren't quite ready for impact.

Towns is the only one who's going to do anythign at the NBA level. Cauley Stein blows and the Harrison twins will be working at Walmart after they are done losing games in China.

He can do more than defend. And he is extremely athletic and runs the court as well as any big man has. He has A LOT of room for growth. The key word is "potential" here. Look at what Noel is doing in the NBA this year. Just getting better and better. And Stein is better offensively than Noel was. Towns will certainly go top 5, and no question that Cauley Stein will be top 10. Too much there to pass up and not take the chance on him. Johnson will be interesting. Wasnt' he projected lottery last year? Now not so much? Same with the Harrisons...stock was pretty good last year, not so good this year. Although I think Andrew is very good and could be a steal in the draft.robj55;1719166 wrote:How is Cauley Stein a top ten pick? He can't do anything but defend. I don't see Booker leaving. The Harrison may not project well, but I just dont' see them staying.
I wonder how this year will affect decisions in the future as far as players staying or leaving AND recruiting. Obviously, these guys bought into the "team" thing with UK, really had no choice. But they didn't win a title AND draft stock hurt most of them by staying compared to if they had come out.

Bruce Johnson also returning. Again, not much of a surprise but this is great news for Roy. The only one left is Marcus Paige.wildcats20;1718084 wrote:Justin Jackson staying at Carolina. Not much of a surprise, but he was projected as a 2nd rounder.

Not to mention, what positive PR could you possibly get? Maybe they want the attention by just getting negative PR...that's all it will be.
