Trimble is just the type of kid that would provoke my disgust for humanity.
This is kind of how I feel about the jersey popping juvenile at Duke, Tyus Jones, and the once arrogant De'Angelo Russell(he has been humbled the past few games). Their talent can't be denied, but their behavior is sometimes unacceptable.

Personally know people who know Russell and the kid is as far from arrogant as someone could be. Very quiet, humble, hard working young man. Just an FYI.Prescott;1708108 wrote:Trimble is just the type of kid that would provoke my disgust for humanity.

Off court and on court are two different things. He has been much better since his display at Minnesota and when he bowed at half court (can't remember the game).
Unfortunately, the perception of high profile athletes is based on their on-camera persona, which is probably much different than their real personality.

I didn't care for his antics on the court either. Namely the flopping head. But besides thats, I wouldn't go as far as calling him arrogant. And to his credit, I haven't seen that behavior the last handful of games either.Prescott;1708192 wrote:Off court and on court are two different things. As an ardent Reggie Miller fan growing up, I admit that it's only natural for some arrogance to creep in for players of a certain caliber. One doesn't achieve that level of play without some degree of pride in one's own abilities, which sometimes can manifest itself as arrogance. Then there are some players you just hate.
As for De'Angelo Russell, I hazard he has seen the iconic footage of Reggie Miller taking his curtain call at center court of the United Center in a game against Chicago early in Reggie's career... While not very sportsmanlike, it was a nice tribute to an all-time great.

Did anyone see Florida State's Xavier Rathan-Mayes score 30 points in the final 4:38 against Miami last night? He made eight field goals, including six triples, in that span, scoring 26 straight points at one point without missing a single shot. That's crazy.
FSU still lost by 4 lol.

Gonzaga pulling away from San Diego late, despite Johnny Dee going off for six points. God he sucks. Close game throughout, but the Bulldogs are tough in Spokane.

ESPN doesnt pay enough, because they dont have to. Same reason why all the sideline reporters and studio hosts eventually leave. ESPN couldnt care less really, they have the ratings and it isnt changing.
But, there are plenty of people who like DD. Mainly because he actually analyzes the game and is pretty smart. I think he talks too much, but enjoy the fact he analyzes and will not hold back when criticizing officials, coaches and players.

I can't listen to the Big 10 games that he does because he knows every damn player and their family. It was at its worst when Sullenger and Craft were at OSU.Laley23;1709055 wrote:ESPN doesnt pay enough, because they dont have to. McCaffery and DD ever make amends yet?

A disappointment or another big recruit being held back by Self. Not sure which. The last 4 games he's averaged 12 minutes per game scored a whopping 6 total points.SportsAndLady;1709060 wrote:Kansas' cliff Alexander ruled ineligible smh

Bubble update.
Oklahoma State loses at Texas Tech, guarantees .500 at best in the Big XII. Big trouble.
Xavier loses at home to Villanova. Guarantees .500 at best in the Big East. More trouble.
LSU comes back to beat Ole Miss. Likely clinches them a berth barring a major collapse.
NC State loses at Boston College. Definitely hurts, but better shape than other bubble teams.
Miami loses to UNC. Similar spot to NCSU.
Dayton wins at VCU. Likely gets them the inside track to the A-10 title. VCU SHOULD be in trouble.
Texas loses at Kansas. HUGE trouble now for the Horns.
