There are definitely bigger needs. I said I wouldn't take an RT at 4, but it wouldn't automatically be a terrible pick. Especially if they think Schwartz can play guard, which would upgrade 2 spots with 1 pick. I think guard is a much bigger area of need.

If it was up to me, we'd target some combo of QB/WR/CB/G with the first 3 picks.
lhslep134;1608834 wrote:Yeah but we were 5th in pass blocking and that run blocking stat is misleading when you break it down:

We were rated -40.6 in run blocking as a team, comprised of the following studs:

Oniel Cousins -3.1
Shawn Lauvao -12.9
Gary Barnidge (TE) -13.7

In reality it was much closer to or better than league average and should only improve going forward

Pass blocking is very solid. Run blocking is not. But again, I think the issue is more at guard than RT.

It's not a bad line, but it's not one of the best in the league. That's like saying the Wizards are one of the best teams in the NBA. It could definitely stand to be upgraded at multiple positions.

I don't see the problem with drafting a can't miss tackle, QB with #26. For those who want Watkins, the draft is deep enough at the WR position, not sure why we have to get one at 4.

Also, go back to the 2012 draft. What would you rather do? Trade up for t-rich, or draft Kalil?
I'm on board with you man. I love Robinson, he's a stud. Him or Mack is my biggest want at 4. Not sure on clowney, clowney has a work ethic then I'd add him to the list. No thanks on Watkins.

I seriously don't think the Browns can go wrong at 4. Draft cant come soon enough, I'm really intrigued what they are going to do with pick 4 and 26.

I am not big on Watkins especially not at 4.

He had a very good year, but in a gimmicky offense. Also, he had 1 great game against OSU which sprung him up the draft rankings. But OSUs defense was god awful this season.

I will actually be pretty upset if we draft him.

I never been high on Watkins either. I don't think he will be that great. I think the Browns should go with Mack, Robinson, or Clowney. But I just have this feeling they are going to take Watkins or Manziel.

CoA some of those twitter comments were pretty funny. The best one was "Watkins is a top 10 WR in the NFL right now"

Totally agreed. I don't think he is anything special. I'd take Mike Evans over Watkins all day, Evans is a big body and uses it to his advantage.

Im too lazy to look at the schedule, but don't we play the Seahawks this year? If so I hope Gordon comes to play and makes Richard Sherman his bitch.

Perhaps you missed the part where I said he had a really good year and that the OSU game sprung him up the draft charts?

What you said was he had one great game. Clueless Cletus at his finest. The guy looks a lot like Paul Warfield to me. If I were the general manager, Sammy and J football would be Browns next year giving them 6 all pros on offense. Maybe 7 if Lewis can stay healthy. But no...let's draft a fucking guard this year with our top pick. That'll fire up the dog pound.

I doubt they'll pay Vince the veteran minimum and use up a roster spot on him, but....

(old school) VY + Watkins or VY AND JFF doing some crazy pistol shit got me a little hot and bothered

They will have 4 QB on their roster going into camp.
They have 2 right now, will draft one and then will need to pick up as an UFA or one like Young who doesnt have a team. They simpley need arms for training camp and if a guy like Vince can be signed and used up then go for it.

I will say that I hate UT and was at The Shoe in 2005 when Texas started their march to the national championship at the expense of Ohio State.

Still, he was a helluva talent and had a not so bad NFL career (OROY, 2 x Pro bowler). If he hasn't lost it and can contribute, why not?

Hell head case Jeff George was passed around for years on throwing ability alone

Tony Grossi ‏ @ TonyGrossi 1m Just heard @ caplannfl say on ESPN that # Browns will pick Derek Carr at No. 4.
If this happens I will be sponsoring a shuttle bus to the 480 bridge for anyone interested. I would expect traffic to be heavy though so plan accordingly.

If Farmer even thinks about pulling that bullshit with Johnny Football on the board he will get what's coming to him when he's looking for another job in 2 years.

Carr is a born loser just like his brother and any team that drafts him will figure that out pretty quickly if they weren't smart enough to know it already before the draft.
