They just keep finding a way.

Starter and bullpen were awful. Bourn, Cabrera, Santana and Reynolds go a combined 1-18. The 7-8-9 hitters score 6 runs and drive in 8.

Hammy damn near had a heart attack giving his call and several mins after...lol. I was running errands so I got to listen in the car.

I love watching this team play...other than I cannot stand perez.

He has been getting lit up all year, but had a good outing his last time on the bump. Felix and Kuma will piss you off Sunday and Monday.

Hoping for a Seattle series win!

I hate to be that guy but keep hoping. LoL. Felix and Kuma did piss me off. They gave up 11 runs but only 10 were earned. Makes me mad.

Just kidding with you. M's are missing some pieces but have some nice players. They play hard don't quit. Just ran into a buzzsaw. Improving for sure.

Better lock up that Wedge/Willis combo long term though.;)

I have been very busy during many of these games, especially the day games, so thanks to the posters so I can check in here and get the interesting scoop.

Roll Tribe!

(Congrats also to the terrific thread start ups by Laley23!)

Ms kinda got fucked that their hot prospects didnt pan out. Ackley being the prime one. I think they had a few others that I am blanking on that are no longer with them.

EDIT: I should say, thus far havent panned out...

Mariners probably couldn't wait to get on the plane after a 4 game sweep punctuated by 3 walk offs and having your ace shelled.

After the trade of Esmiel Rogers for Aviles and Gomes, I was not happy. LOL...I'm really happy now.

Jeff Clement from a few years back. I remember hearing that he HAD been a really prized prospect when he was traded to Pittsburgh 4-5 years ago in the Ian Snell/Jack Wilson trade, but had fallen off. And since he couldn't hit .200 with productivity in the majors, I quickly found out why.

Clement! Yes. Good call. There was one other, Wladamir Balentine I think was his name. He was in the Futures Game and then out of America 3 years later lol.

I remember in 2007 the Ms were looking really solid for the future.
  • Mike Morse (the waived him too early)
  • Adam Jones (terrible trade for Erik Bedard)
  • Jeff Clement (never panned out)
  • Wladamir Balentine (never panned out)
  • King Felix (well something worked!!!)
  • Michael Saunders (pretty good player with them still)
  • Dustin Ackley (thus far, hasnt panned out)
So they looked like they were set if even half of those players pan out. As it turns out, they were right...but Jones and Morse are on different teams because of really bad decisions by the front office. Too bad.

Don't forget the Doug Fister give away either. Among the other crap they got in return, gopher ball artist Charlie Furbush was the "key player" they got for Fister.

Thats true. A little later then the timeframe I was going for, but easily another terrible trade by the front office.
