Honestly, in this, I'm going to let the court system do what it was designed to do, and take it no further. While I think these young men did something absolutely deplorable, I don't think resorting to mob tactics will solve the matter.

All of you who have posted nasty things about me are proving my point. There is a lot of guilt to go around and it's not going to heal easily.
Instead of us screaming at each other and calling each other nasty name, we need to figure out how to solve this problem. I love Steubenville and I think Big Red is the best institution I have ever been a part of. I don't want a drunken girl and five out of control football players bring it down.
Attacking me is not productive because I am the smallest piece in this very big puzzle. It doesn't matter what I say or do, nothing is going to change.
Can anyone make any realistic suggestions on how to start the healing process?
Time. Lots and lots of time. Period. That's all they can do is wait. One day it will be a bitter memory, but it won't hurt anymore.
But there is nothing the community can do but to sit there and take the abuse they're going to get and just wait until it's over.
As an aside, though I don't necessarily agree with everything being said about you, how does saying nasty things about a poster on a forum prove that there is a lot of guilt to go around about a rape? That makes absolutely no logical sense.
