year: team (record) - games within one possession.

2011: Alabama (12-1) - 1
2010: Auburn (14-0) - 6
2009: Alabama (14-0) - 2
2008: Florida (13-1) - 1
2007: LSU (12-2) - 6
2006: Florida (13-1) - 4
2005: Texas (13-0) - 2
2004: Southern Cal (13-0) - 4
2003: LSU (13-1) - 3
2003: Southern Cal (12-1) - 1
2002: Ohio State (14-0) - 7
2001: Miami (12-0) - 1
2000: Oklahoma (13-0) - 3
1999: Florida State (12-0) - 3
1998: Tennessee (13-0) - 4
1997: Michigan (12-0) - 4
1997: Nebraska (13-0) - 3
1996: Florida (12-1) - 3
1995: Nebraska (12-0) - 0

'95 Nebraska only trailed once that entire season if I'm not mistaken and they ended up winning that game (vs. Wash. St.) by 2 TD's. That was the closest game they had that season. Truly dominant.

Which makes this mind-boggling:

Questioning the validity of an outrageous statement you made with no proof to back it up is all that I am doing. "By far the biggest draw in all of sports". I cant seem to find anything on the web that validates that claim. In fact, what what I can find, the claim isnt even the biggest draw in college football, let alone all of sports.
You are probably the last person I was giving a warning to lol.

But for the record, I dont have a link. I have personally seen stuff from the networks sent to the cable companies regarding ratings. College Football is behind only the NFL in total ratings, but most consider that a false realism since the entire country is subject to only 1 game at a time for the primetime spots and usually only 1 game is on at 4pm.

What I will say is what you posted is almost 100% irrelevant. It doesnt matter who has the most fans or whatever your link said. I read it, but it was like 12 hrs ago lol. All that matters in terms of who is the biggest draw is the actual ratings. Not adjusted or anything. Who get the most viewers? Its Notre Dame. Just watch what the National Title game brings in. I will venture a guess that it might be the highest rated sports program of all time (excluding Super Bowls).

The TV audience I agree will be huge, Notre Dame has as big of a fan base if not bigger than anyone plus all the Notre Dame haters (myself in this catagory ) will watch to see them get their ass handed to them, although this year I may hate the SEC even more than Notre Dame.
