Smith is a stud, no argument here, and he would get my vote right now, period. That being said, his team CRUSHED Clemson in a BCS game last year, while Miller has almost single-handedly taken an under .500 Buckeye team and turned them into an undefeated, top 10 team.
Undefeated, yes. Top 10? Technically yes, but OSU is not a top 10 quality team this year.

You know something, you're right, but what's crazy about college football this year is that other than Alabama and Oregon, who is???

Seems like we've had more years like that lately.

I agree with both of these. CFB isn't as strong as it used to be.

That's because everyone wants to play right away and the great players are spread out over more teams. The only team right now who seems to be able to stock pile talent is Alabama.

I figured I'd bump this.

My list as of right now.

Klein
Miller
Te'o
Barner
McCarron

I could see only 4 getting the invite.

Klein is going to win it. I don't know why anyone thinks Te'o even has a shot. A defensive player will never win the Heisman after Suh got shafted. It's the obligatory defensive player they pick so they can pretend it doesn't go to a QB or RB every year.

If Klein doesn't play this week Miller is the front runner.

Woodson won it in 97. But I agree I don't think we will ever see a defensive player win it again. Both Klein and te'o represent what the heisman is all about

Unless everyone else falls off completely I don't think Miller has a realistic shot anyway.

Like I said, I'll be happy with just an invite. If KSU wins out it's Klein's trophy.

And what is that exactly? Te'o isn't deserving of the Heisman; he doesn't represent shit.

Miller's only shot is to go undefeated and everyone else screw up. Not going to happen.

He represents leadership not only on the field but off. He's an academic all American, and represents all that is good in college football. He's a great kid I'm going to be sad to see him leave nd

Woodson won it bc he would also play on offense and would return punts/kicks. I agree with Sleeper, Suh got shafted on it. Te'o won't win it and his numbers actually aren't that great either compared to other LB's.

I have nothing against Te'o, he's a great player, but skill wise he's not worthy of the Heisman.

The only reason he's in the running is because he's ND's best player and they are back in the national spotlight. IMO he's not even as influential as the Honey Badger and look where he finished.

I'm not saying he should win it I'm just saying both Klein and te'o represent everything that the heisman stands for. There both great people. As for Woodson he is arguably the best college football player ever even if he is a douche
