He's actually tailor made for the Redskins. They have $40 million in cap money while Miami has $13 million & Arizona has $10 million and a shitty O-Line. I've heard Manning would like a "package deal" of himself, Reggie Wayne & Jeff Saturday. With the money Washington has, they could get all three, along with Pierre Garcon if they wanted him, and STILL go out and get a few guys for the defense while using their high draft picks to fill in other holes. They'd likely be an instant contender with the Giants in the NFC East.

Manning has already said that he'd "love to play against Eli 2x's per year" and that it would "be good for the NFL."

I can see this being a driving force for him to sign there. Little bro has kind of put him on the back burner winning his second SB.

Houston can't even afford to keep Mario Williams ($3-4 million in cap space). How is this going to happen?

I'm hoping the Jets can restructure some guys to free up the cap space. Won't happen, but I can dream.

It's possible, it's not that hard to create cap space. Remember how many years the Skins used to manage to sign a billion free agents every year despite having no cap room?

If properly motivated with a smart guy running your books it is not hard to make room. That's why teams pay those cap guys so well.

Just heard about it on Mike&Mike this AM.
Granted, most people thought he'd be gone but I don't think it became official until they announced the noon meeting today.

Stinks for Colts fans but as a business decision it makes sense.

(edit)
I'm gonna stick to my Seattle pick for a few more.

He'll play for 7.50 and hour if he gets to play on a SB favorite and stick it to the Colts twice a season.

I think his best chance to succeed is in Arizona. Can they pay him? I don't know anything about their cap situation.

Yeah, I mean Tannenbaum is fantastic with the cap. I just don't think he's going to end up with the Jets.

Only way with the Jets is with an incentive contract, if Moss works out with the Jets and is also seeking an incentive-laden contract it could be very interesting.

Washington has the cap room, but a lousy supporting cast. If Manning has 1 or 2 more years to win Seattle or Arizona are better choices, but he has to play out west.

JETS get rid of Ryan, sign both Mannings, AND Archie. Book it.
