Peyton killed that presser, considering he is essentially being fired. He was very amicable to the fans and organization.

Both of them killed it. I hope the best for the Colts AND Peyton going forward and I didn't expect to feel that way until I saw the professionalism of both Irsay and Manning.

I agree. I was always going to cheer for Peyton, but now I dont feel guilty about it (ok I didnt anyway) lol.

Situations are completely different. But why couldnt LeBron go about his announcement in a more similar way?? I know it wasnt the same, but it was close enough it couldve been done in Peyton/Irsay style.

Because Peyton is a very thoughtful, funny & likeable guy where Lebron is a self centered dick? ;) You can't help but like Manning. Hell, he's probably the funniest athlete that SNL has ever had host their show.

I thought Peyton's answer to the Indy question was awesome:

(paraphrase) "I'm only departing from the Colts, I will remain a part of the great city of Indianapolis". What a class act.

Heard this brought up today across various platforms, but one of the biggest obstacles the Skins are going to face getting Peyton is that the NFC east is the pash rush capitol of the world right now with Demarcus Ware, Osi/Tuck/Pierre-Paul, and Babin/Cole for the Cowboys/Giants/Eagles.

Playing 6 of your 16 games each year against what are 3 of the leagues best pass rushing teams is something he is going to think about considering where he is with his neck.

He has always been good at getting rid of the ball, but he now more than ever is going to need a good O-line and to be extra careful.

That would rule out Arizona. With the fact he has that home in South Florida and the fact that Reggie Wayne (package deal) is from that area, I'm starting to think that will be the preferred destination if they can move around some cap money.

Jake Long is a nice safety blanket for him on the O-line, not to mention they have high draft picks this year to beef up the line/other holes.

Reggie Wayne gave an interview apparently discussing a hypothetical Miami pairing of him/Peyton/Marshall and he just giddy even thinking about the offense they could have.

It just makes alot of sense. That team is really not that far from contention if they were to get Peyton/Wayne, and then draft well.

Not.* Dude loves playing too much. He may be close to done but he's still around for 2-3 years. *Unless he hurts his neck/nerves again.

Dan Marino will be second seat here shortly, in the list of greatest Miami Dolphins QB's.

If the guy was done he would retire. Indy couldn't commit the $$$ for him (and I don't blame them) so he's separated from the organization. He can't possibly be worse than Blaine Gabbert or the keystone kop situation in Seattle. If Ryan Fitzpatrick can get the contract he got (which was ridiculous), Manning will certainly get attention from numerous franchises.

There is no way that he is productive with another team. He will ruin his legacy just like farve, couldn't accept the fact that he was done and ended his great career with a few greedy sub par seasons. Peyton could retire and would go down as one of the best to play the game while he is still healthy, but he is is going to take a chance of living in a wheelchair for a little more money, that he doesn't need.

Disagree. Manning is a little different "animal." It's not like he has to go in and learn a new system. If he goes to a team they will be implementing HIS system that he brings with him. Getting him is getting a HOF QB AND an offensive coordinator/coach rolled into one. Any O-Coordinator for the team he goes to will be nothing but a figurehead.
