They'll tender him with a 1st rounder. I could see someone like New England, San Francisco or Cincinnati going after him. Would he be worth giving up a later 1st rounder for? I'd think so.se-alum;1101852 wrote:Mike Wallace will not be franchised by the Steelers.

If you are a team in contention, then definitely yes.

WTF? Considering retiring to join the CIA? Hillis is totally flaking out...if this isn't his agent throwing this out there to hurt his stock.

This is all your opinion/speculation, as you don't know if mccoy will do good or not with weapons. It's not fair to say "mccoy won't do good with weapons" and then say "rg3 with weapons would be an upgrade over mccoy"..one's been in the nfl 2 years, the other just graduated and played in one of the weakest pass defense leagues in college.BR1986FB;1101665 wrote:For all of those saying "if RG3 busts it will set the franchise back" (bullshit because they are already ROCK BOTTOM), I say that "staying the course with McCoy" will, in their terminology, "set the franchise back at least 2 years." Reason being, you surround McCoy with weapons, he inevitably shows he's not "the guy" which leaves you drafting

Kellen Moore is awesome at that. I don't know if that means he'll be successful, given his lack of elite arm strength, but just saying, he's probably the most accurate passer in this year's draft class.

Would he be worth giving up our 22nd for? I mean if you're talking about drafting Kendall Wright or signing Mike Wallace, give me the proven commodity.BR1986FB;1101858 wrote:They'll tender him with a 1st rounder. No, he is going to be really expensive, and fuck the Steelers. Don't give them a first rounder.lhslep134;1101954 wrote:Would he be worth giving up our 22nd for? I mean if you're talking about drafting Kendall Wright or signing Mike Wallace, give me the proven commodity.

Wallace also disappeared last season which is a bit worrying. I hope they sign him and fuck their cap.

That would be all fine & good if it was the #22 but by league rules you have to give up your own original pick, meaning #4.lhslep134;1101954 wrote:Would he be worth giving up our 22nd for? I mean if you're talking about drafting Kendall Wright or signing Mike Wallace, give me the proven commodity.

You just want McCoy to succeed so you get a steak dinner. :laugh:DeyDurkie5;1101947 wrote:This is all your opinion/speculation, as you don't know if mccoy will do good or not with weapons. I just want a quarterback to succeed so we can stop having these convos every year. If the front office thinks RG3 is the qb, then do it. I trust heckertt enough to not question his tactics. I'm just not as hard on mccoy as you are I guess. I like the idea of having multiple first round picks just as much as I do getting RG3. So really, I don't care the direction we go, as long as we dont draft an offensive linemen.
but yes, the steak dinner will be delicious:laugh:

That would be double jeopardy..1) you'd be giving up the #4 pick and 2) and even worse, you'd be giving it to the Steelers.lhslep134;1101992 wrote:Ah then no way in hell. I wasn't sure what the rule was.

Count Kiper said that LM James might be a high second rounder and Burfect might fall to the third.

I would take Burfict in the 3rd if he fell to us. I like his ridiculous (in a bad way) mean streak, but then again I would get so irritated every time he got flagged.

That's the whole preface of the WCO. You lead a receiver/throw to an area/anticipate so they get it in stride. That's where you always hear about YAC in the WCO.lhslep134;1101949 wrote:Kellen Moore is awesome at that. Just hearing ESPN describe how ridiculous Hillis has been acting (firing 3 agents, CIA) makes me want to just say good riddance and let's snag 2 running backs in this draft. One that's more of a bruiser (Chris Polk, hell I wouldn't mind Dan Herron late) and one that's a speedback (Isaiah Pead, Chris Rainey?)
