More than anything, Richardson will take the pressure off of Weeden.

I'll be happy with >3000 yards, >20 TDS, and <14 INTs. So basically Dalton lol

How many players have you seen Marvin Lewis whip their character in shape?

Kiper's grade for the Browns. Also, he graded the rest of the division higher than the Browns:

Edit: it's not pasting correctly, but the first grade is for needs, the second grade is based on value, and the third grade is the overall grade.

Cleveland Browns

Top needs: QB, RB, WR, RT, CB

Summary: The Browns will get questions on value, but they had a plan and stuck to it. They moved up to get Trent Richardson, ostensibly so Tampa Bay couldn't, and while a running back at No. 3 is always a tough value proposition, Richardson is a rare talent. The Browns clearly felt they couldn't wait to take Brandon Weeden at No. 37, and locked him up at No. 22. Given the talk surrounding Colt McCoy, they clearly expect Weeden to start. Mitchell Schwartz was a slight reach on my board at No. 37, but he's extremely experienced, and you know what you're getting at right tackle. Cleveland finally got a receiver with the No. 100 pick. I saw that as a bigger need than right tackle. There were good wideouts available at No. 37, so that's the pick I question the most.

3000 yards? 22/12 TD/INT?
I am expecting what 80% of all 1st round QB's do that are NOT the number one prospect. Not living up to being a 1st round draft selection.

I hope I'm wrong but the numbers don't lie.

That is how it should have been done.

Taking a RT at 37 is just not a value pick as Kiper said. Those are usually had much later in the draft.

Signed 3 undrafted Tackles but yet used the 37th pick on one. In a couple years I think we will be looking at those 3rd and 4th round picks and say we couldve filled bigger needs with better players.

The OU alum/homer in me was hoping that Cleveland was going to go WR with one of their back-to-back picks in the 6th round, since at that point LaVon Brazill was the best available WR according to ESPN, and fuck knows they needed to get more WR's.

They didn't take Brazill OR a WR at all with those picks, and the Colts took him with the very next pick. Damnit.

At least the Browns filled a need. Sadly, the need they filled was committing dumb penalties, and they really didn't need that much help in that department as it was...

WR at 37 should have been done. Instead you sign 2 FA's. Hopefully they are hidden gems.

Hopefully they got a WR with good hands. Dropped balls plagued the offense as much as anything....probably cause McCoy was throwing them too hard LOL.

Josh Cooper was a good signing IMO....good hands and a guy that Weeden is familiar with.

What is everyone's pros and cons for the offseason so far?.....mine are...

Pros.

Not pulling the trigger on the RG3 trade.
Getting their guy...TRich.
Addressing the Oline via the draft

Cons

The John Hughes pick
The Weeden pick over DeCastro
Not addressing wide receivers until late in the draft
Free agency was a flop.

*Overall, I would give them a C- for the offseason so far. Still by far the worst team in the division(on paper) and having the worst offseason of any of the teams in the division as well.

I'm glad we didn't go crazy in FA, as I've stated before I think its fools gold.

Which is funny because a lot of the same people who were bitching about them not grabbing free agent players (implying a "sense of urgency") are now unhappy that they drafted a "must play now" 28 year old QB (implying they DO have a sense of urgency).

Pretty much how I feel except FA. Not a huge fan of FA, but I did wish we could have signed an OLB and Winston. Oh well.

I guess Kiley & Booms had the 3rd round pick (John Hughes) on this morning and were very disrespectful to him. A-holes...
