Belichick is full of ****. He's not drafting Weeden when they already have Hoyer and Mallett.

Looking at today and tomorrow, I was starting to think I would like Hill as a deep threat on the outside and Joe Adams as a slot guy in round 4, but looking at the picks remaining I don't see how we could do that and still address RG, RT, CB, and OLB with guys that might actually contribute.

And that's why I wanted to trade down from 4 and add another 2nd round pick instead of trading up and losing 3 picks.
Good thing the front office doesn't care what you think. H + H had Weeden ranked #13 on their board, so it is possible that he WAS BPA at the time they took him. Also, passing on a player like Richardson and being in the division we are would be incredibly ill-advised. I try to make a habit of ignoring anything Jim Brown says anymore, and I did the same on his evaluation of Richardson; evidently, so did H + H.

Colt McCoy might only bring back a 6/7 round pick from what I was hearing today on the radio.

Yet there are some Browns fans who thought it was a good idea to go into next season with him.

That we can get so little for him is the league's way of telling you he is not very good, and is not a starting QB.

If no other teams in the league would want him starting for them, why should we?

Weeden is a massive upgrade, and gives Browns fans hope. That alone makes him worth that 22nd pick, as we won't have to deal with the despair anymore of knowing that we don't even have a chance before the game/season starts. That is worth something to a fan base.

Will you shut up already?

Asante Samuel was traded for a 7th round pick. I guess he sucks too.

Agreed! Anybody who truly believes Belichick was going to draft Weeden is a moron.

He has a cap number of 10 million dollars this year, if he made what McCoy made and was 24 years old he would be fetching a whole more than a 7th round pick.

Teams don't usually pay as high a price in picks when taking on a massive salary.

Bet you never even thought about that.

Yeah, good thing. We might end up 4-12 every year if I was in charge.

Did you think future HOFer Randy Moss was horrible when he was traded for a 4th round pick? Iggy's idiotic logic fails him again.

The people who wanted McCoy to play was more because they didn't want the Browns to make an idiotic pick like weeden and less because they actually wanted McCoy as a QB. Is it really that hard to comprehend?

Also, I really don't want Reuben Randle, so I'm expecting him at 37.

His contract was restructured, I believe.

IDGAF what anyone says, I want Stephen Hill... I think his skill set and potential is too much to pass up. 6'4 physical run blocking WR who runs a 4.3? Sign my ass up.

I'd be ok with a LB as well.

When you draft a 28 year old QB, you don't wait to buy him toys until next christmas. This pick has to be offense, to either protect him or give him someone to throw to.

Have to go receiver here. I was expecting a run on them to start the round, but there are some first round talents left. Can't pass up on the position.

Oh hey, a reach. And a boring reach.

Edit: Could have certainly been worse though.

A wasted pick yet again!
